Jo has been amazing to show me after a break up that it’s not all me and that I need to find out for myself through my subconscious mind that I am strong and that my cons are also not all that bad and have positives too. We can’t suppress our emotions and vulnerability is beautiful, I don’t want to be stone cold or heartless. Jo has showed me to be me and that I need more than just talking, I need a solution which she helps me feel like I am improving every session!! More...

I’ve been working with Jo for four months now,Jo creates a safe place for me to process my past traumas in an environment where I’m heard, cared for and the primary focus.

One conversation can change your whole perspective on a situation or feeling, which can be life changing.
I’m lucky enough to have had a few of those conversations with Jo.

Im very grateful for Jo, but I’m also very grateful for myself for seeking the guidance I needed even if at times it can be uncomfortable.

Cannot recommend Jo enough, kindest soul to work with.

I have been working with Joanne over the last few months. She has a very calm energy about her and is a kind and compassionate person. She really listened to me and I felt very comfortable opening up to her. I felt very held, supported and safe in our sessions. With her guidance and support I’ve been able to explore the trauma of my past and really understand what happened to me and why it happened and I am now able to let it all go and move forward in my life in a peaceful way.
I highly recommend Joanne to anyone that is struggling in their life and wants to work with someone that can really help them get results!

My 12 year old son started having sessions with Jo a little under 6 months ago. He’s a sensitive boy and we have tried quite a few different therapists since he was young. For the first time we are seeing REAL progress with him. He’s gained so much confidence & is handling situations & life in general so much better. He trusts Jo & feels comfortable with her. She is just wonderfully nurturing & amaing at what she does. I can’t recommend Jo enough. More...

Jo’s genuine kindness, skill and casual but caring way of communicating helped our teenage daughter form a trusting relationship and open up much more easily than we expected. Jo worked in partnership with our daughter to identify her symptoms and condition, and tailored her tools and techniques to our daughters passions which effectively engaged her in the process and supported her healing. Jo maintained communication with us parents, providing guidance and support to our family through this journey. We genuinely trust that Jo has the best interests of our daughter and us at heart - and this care and passion guides everything she does.

Q&As

I love that I can guide my clients through their own journey and help them clear any limiting beliefs that are holding them back. It is more than just talk therapy, it allows my clients to work with their nervous system, their unconscious mind and finally get learnings on what the ROOT-CAUSE of why they feel the way they feel and experience feelings in a safe environment. From the first session, a client can begin to realise that they are worthy, and they are enough!

My lived experience is important for my clients, as it can make them feel safe heard and not alone. When we are on a journey, it can be a lonely space to be in. Youth is also a big part as to why I wanted to start my business.

I am a mum of 4 young adults and watching them grow through their own journey has made me realise even more that the more we use these modalities to help our youth and the wider community, then in time our youth will be more equipped to guide the next generation to come and our families/care givers today can get a better understanding and be more present with people they care for. I wish I had this type of therapy growing up and also when guiding my children from infants to young adults now.

I believe my passion, lived experience, and client repour has allowed me to guide clients in a safe container where they feel supported and understood.

This is not just 'Talk Therapy '. I am guiding my clients in their own healing journey. My clients get a clearer understanding of events that they are not always aware consciously.

When looking at past events/trauma, clients can start to clear and heal their emotions and start to feel safe to experience all emotions with the mind and body as one. Instead of going into fight, flight or freeze, clients can embrace all emotions without having to be heightened by emotional triggers.

Working with the mind and body and clearing suppressed emotions allows my clients to feel a sense of vulnerability, safety, freedom and self-worth.

I have conducted all my session online successfully

Root -Cause Therapy is a regression and progression therapy, aiming to get to the root cause of people’s problems and symptoms.

It is a powerful style of therapy which assists people in getting to the root-cause of their current limiting beliefs. These beliefs could be the cause of negative self-talk, anxiety, depression, addiction, PTSD from past trauma, relationship problems or self- sabotage towards health and wellbeing.

It is a gentle and safe therapy that works on all levels of our mind, the conscious, subconscious, and unconscious mind. It’s our unconscious mind where surpressed beliefs, trauma and blocked emotions are stored and are affecting our current conscious thoughts and behaviours.

With support and guidance, this healing unravels why you think or feel the way you do, discover, and shift any unwanted patterns consciously. Assumptions and ‘theories’ are no longer necessary as we create a way for the mind and body to consciously access and reassess from a clearer perspective, whether this is in the past or negative projections into the future

I have lived experience and a passion to work with young people. I want them to feel safe in expressing all emotions and gain an understanding as to why:

They are feeling anxious.

Having feelings of depression and disconnection.

Experiencing recurring Behaviour that is impacting them daily through anger, procrastination, withdrawal, addictions, or self-sabotage.

For our young people, suppressing emotions is to avoid feeling discomfort. It is a way of protecting themselves from uncomfortable feels. Feelings experienced from traumatic events (big or small) or an overall feeling of not feeling safe and protected due to circumstances. What I want for our young people is to understand that emotions are feelings that serve a purpose, provide direction and communication from the body, deep within. Negative emotions are just as important and useful, even if they are uncomfortable at times.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE EMBODIED?

Embodied Processing is the bottom-up approach to healing trauma and a dysregulated nervous system. Our nervous system either regulates stress or gets stuck in stress. When it gets stuck in stress our nervous system goes into a fight, flight, freeze or fawn response.

This powerful technique is used to safely meet and digest the underlying wounds, the orphaned parts where we suppress and kept the traumatic events (big or small) at arm’s length.

The orphaned part is protecting ourselves from particular traumatic events happening again and avoiding those emotions that were triggered during these events.
Yes, it keeps us safe, but what happens, is our nervous system goes into survival stress, This survival stress doesn’t allow us to meet the trauma and close the loop. Therefore, it becomes the driving force of our current symptoms – Addiction, Co-dependency, ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, Disassociation, self-sabotage, physical pain etc…

Learning to be with our experiences, meeting our experiences from our past, feeling and housing those experiences within our body allows us to feel safe and bring our nervous system to a regulated state.

When the body is included in the healing process, long term transformation happens

Trapped Emotion Clearing is a form of energy healing. With our body being made of energy, it is a gentle healing modality that can help to provide relief from physical and emotional issues. It is an incredibly powerful tool for all ages, especially for helping children to feel safe and enable them to process their emotions and reconnect. It uses our subconscious mind to find, and release trapped emotions.

Trapped emotions are when we may have experienced a traumatic event (big or small) and we choose to block it out by not processing the feelings experienced.
So, instead of moving beyond an angry moment, a feeling of grief or depression, you retain the negative emotion within the body. This can potentially cause physical or emotional stress, and imbalance within the body.

When a trapped emotion is released, a burden is lifted, and results can bring a sense of calmness, balance, and healing.
