Aloha! InspireMVMT is a team of two Doctors of Physical therapy offering concierge in-home personal training to the greater-Honolulu area, as well as remote coaching online via TrueCoach.co. Dan and I have a combined 10+ years of experience working with a variety of clientele of all ages and ability levels. Train with a licensed professional in the comfort of your own home. On your schedule. Our clinical background as licensed Physical Therapists means you can rest assured we know how your body should (and shouldn't!) move. As hybrid fitness coaches and Physical Therapists, we frequently train clients with pre-existing injuries, those coming back from surgery, or those that are hesitant to re-enter a gym atmosphere from lack of experience. We love teaching, and we want to make fitness a positive experience for you. Your doctor, lawyer & accountant all have advanced degrees in their respective fields. So should your fitness consultant. Thank you for considering us & please check out our website to learn more!

How do you help your clients achieve their fitness goals?

We offer a one-hour assessment with an in-depth interview where we will have time to discuss past medical history, any injuries, and potential concerns. During the assessment, we will perform a thorough biomechanical assessment to see your movement biases or restrictions. This time will be used to establish a solid plan moving forward so you can reach your goals.

What do you love most about your job?

Teaching and educating my clients. I'm passionate about teaching my clients everything I know about human movement, fitness principles, and proper nutrition. My goal is for my clients to feel confident and knowledgable in their ability to exercise safely and effectively, eventually not requiring the services of a personal trainer. I believe fitness is crucial to health, and I want to help as many clients as possible by sharing the knowledge I've spent a decade accumulating.

Why should our clients choose you?

Experience and academic background are of the utmost importance when hiring a fitness professional. The academic threshold to begin personal training and fitness coaching is unregulated at this time, often only requiring a weekend-course to get certified.

Seeking out a well-seasoned and well-educated fitness pro is a difficult task, but it can be worth it when trying to avoid injury and get the best results with your body.

Your accountant, doctor, and lawyer all have professional degrees in their field of study. So should your fitness consultant.

Our movement assessment process and tailored training programs are built from cutting edge training and rehabilitation principles we have spent hours studying and employing with our clientele. Come experience the difference with us.

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.

Yes, we are more than happy to accommodate remote sessions via Zoom. We also offer monthly remote-coaching via TrueCoach.co, check it out on our website, www.InspireMVMT.com/Online

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?

All training sessions are performed in the comfort of our clients' own home, or outdoors. We will arrive with masks and sanitization supplies to ensure a safe environment while training.

Personal Trainers FAQs

Expand all

It depends on your end goal. If you’re training for a marathon, you might work out nearly every day of the week. If you’re a low-level beginner, a minimum of three times a week is enough to make a noticeable impact. No matter what you’re working out for, everyone needs rest and recovery days. Without them, your muscles won’t be able to recuperate and grow strong, so remember to factor in some down-time, too!

Pretty much anywhere! The great thing about personal training is that it’s flexible - as long as you have the necessary equipment, you and your instructor can decide to have your sessions from the gym, your home, the park, or even your office if you want to!

Yes! First of all, they will chat with you about your goals, and discuss the best way to achieve them. They should also ask you to fill in a consent form to check that you don’t have any pre-existing health conditions that could impact your exercise. They’ll also carry out a health assessment to get a better idea of your current fitness level, tailoring your workout plan around that.

It's tricky to say, as personal training sessions vary significantly depending on what you want to achieve and the type of workout. Generally, one personal training session tends to last forty-five minutes to one hour. It will start with a gentle warm-up, followed by the nitty-gritty of the actual workout, with stretches to end the session. Remember, warming up and stretching is essential for injury prevention - it’s just as important as the main part of the workout!

A personal trainer needs to be clued up on all aspects of fitness, from the most effective exercise techniques to nutrition and human anatomy- that’s a lot of responsibility! You need to make sure your professional is suitably qualified for the job. After all, you shouldn’t cut corners when it comes to investing in your health. Make sure your trainer has the minimum qualifications required to practice. In the UK, this is the Level 3 Personal Trainer qualification.

Absolutely! Online personal training has become increasingly popular as more people are looking to maintain their fitness during lockdowns and gyms closing. As long as you and your personal trainer have a strong internet connection and a device to stream on like a laptop, tablet or smartphone, there's no reason why your session can't be delivered remotely.
