This question should really ask "who" inspired you to start your own business because had I not had the upbringing that I did, if I didn't have the parents that I do, I probably would have gone down a very different path in life. My parents never imposed any restrictions or limitations on my growth, learning, or exploration when I was growing up. Their encouragement allowed me to make mistakes as a youth, own up to those missteps, learn from them, apologize for them and paved the way for me to keep going. Now as an adult I don't allow self-doubt or self-imposed limitations to hold me back. The sky is the limit. I only see abundance, growth, learning, and awareness in my present life and that's the space in which I decided to start my own coaching practice and live my life in general.
There's a saying that most of us know, and that's "I'm not everyone's cup of tea" and there is real truth to that. I am not for everyone and not everyone is meant to be my client. Coaching is a collaboration, it's about transforming who you are now to who you want to become and you have to have a real connection with the coach that you choose. I am selective because when it's mutually decided that we're a good fit, you better believe that I want you, as my client, to bring it. If you're seeking to change, you have to take action.
