Quite an overwhelming experience. The food quality, service, finishes, and atmosphere was all excellent, not at all what I expected. I had high expectations due to be being a Kamps fan forever, but was skeptical about La Brasa achieving them. They delivered on all accounts. The server was even new, but did a great job.

I might be stretching it to give this place 4 stars, but I really would reccomend it and I would go back. The atmosphere is great and the place was clean and easy to get in and out. I had the sliced brisket lunch. The meat was well cooked, not wet, good color, great smoke flavor. The sauce was perfect Texas sauce (I use 50/50 hot and mild). The sides was the item where bedlam fell down to me. I ordered green beans and okra and they were fine. They tasted like the ones I can get out of a can or the grocery store freezer. They had some other sides that were original, but I'll have to try them the next time I go back and there will be a next time. I would still send my friends to Leo's or Earls first though.I've come a couple more times and really enjoy the meat's flavor. Once again the sides just don't stand up.
