We like this restaurant for the environment especially in the spring and summer. The outdoor seating has good views of the lake and sunsets. The food is good and they have great margaritas. FANTASTIC SERVICE!!! Staff was exceptional especially our waiter. Food was pretty good I got the chili relleno and the flavor of the pepper itself was good but as you can see from the pictures there was ALOT of breading too much for me personally. Seemed like that overtook the flavor of anything else. I prefer more stuffing per say. My favorite mexican food restaurant. Been here no less than 20 times and have had a great visit each time. Sit on the deck and eat, watch the lake traffic, and have a margarita, met my fiance here for our first date three years ago, and still love it.

I really enjoyed our experience here. It's in a beautiful setting right off the lake and we were seated as soon as we walked inside. The waiter came to take our drink order and when I asked for his recommendation he made a drink for me called the Sunset. I absolutely loved this drink! I think it's my favorite drink of all time! For our meals... I ordered the flautas, my husband got enchiladas, my mother ordered tacos and the kids got kids meals with burritos. Everyone was very happy with their meals. Reminiscent of a cantina in a Menican resort. We had steak fajitas. They were great. They start you off with chips, salsa, and a cheese sauce. Tortillas if you wish. Our server Alex was very attentive and Helpful. He brought me out hotter salsa. It was really good. We loved the homemade tortillas. They bring you sopipilla and ice cream on your birthday. I liked the green salsa with the set up, I ordered the Vera Cruz fish, with mixed vegetables and borracho beans. the fish was not seared and lightly seasoned and the beans I can tell were canned and had chopped wienies instead of bacon in them, lol, fantastic waiters tho and great view of the lake

The staff at Mama Roja is amazing! The food is great too!! We had my mother’s surprise retirement party there today and everyone from the GM Adam who helped in advance on down to the manager Jeremy, wait staff Felicia and I can’t remember our other waiters name who was just as great too, the hostess, the bar staff everyone was so helpful! They let me come set up early the night before bringing us tea and early that morning they actually even helped me decorate with things that we needed more people to lift. They kept offering to help with everything every step of the way from coordinated how to the handle the surprise to our waitress even filming it for us so we could all be in the video! They even handled the cleanup all the boxes and the balloons we didn’t know what to do with after the party that we had from the decorations they said they would take care of it. I cannot say enough good things about how helpful and amazing this entire experience was with them. It was such a huge relief! The food was amazing as usual too! Thank You! More...

Best Mexican food in okc hands down! Very clean and it is right on the water of Lake Hefner . They have all the traditional entrees . I love the brisket avocado crisps ! It’s the size of a pizza and loaded w brisket, avocado, tomatoes, cheese and cilantro. I’ve had several dinners from here but this is always a fav. This particular visit I had the sangria which was made w red wine, fruit and brandy and it was very delicious, along with it being part of their happy hour from 3-5 so it was only 5$ . I'd like to lead with a great, big shout-out to Jason our waiter! He was amazing and engaging. Neither myself or my constituents had ever been here as we're blown away by his knowledge of the menu for suggestions and professionalism. We opted for the chicken fajitas and the food was great too! It was flavorful and was almost too pretty to eat by looking at it! We stopped a guy that appeared to be a manager to verbally note the exceptional customer service and our satisfaction of Jason's service.
