Linda catered our wedding for 160 people last May. She made us abundant, delicious food for a reasonable price. Our menu had a lot of variety – something for which other caterers we looked at charged much more. Linda was also flexible – willing to make us a non-kosher dish (crab dip), so long as we provided our own serving dishes, since all of hers are kosher. It was probably the best wedding food we've ever had, and we received many compliments on it. We found Linda to be responsive and attentive to emails and calls during planning, and she allowed us flexibility in modifying the menu and substituting items after we signed the initial contract. That being said, our primary frustration was her slowness in calculating the price impact of the modifications and getting back to us with answers about what we could substitute and what would be an upcharge etc... We don't dispute the fairness of the prices, but we could not make fully informed decisions about our add-ons because she didn't give us some of the price-change information until after the wedding.
Our main takeaways are that CustomKosher is able to provide extremely good food for a very fair price, but since it is a smaller operation that isn't specifically focused on weddings, there's no "standard wedding package." Because CustomKosher is small there some things (mostly dishes and serving ware) that they don't have on hand in large quantities, and you may have to rent or provide them yourself if your event is as large as ours. Additionally, everything (including the price) is customized based on Linda’s conversations with you. This could be a strength or a weakness depending on what you're looking for. We got a very personalized experience, but we also spent a lot of time discussing the fine details of almost every aspect of the meal. If we had gone with a larger, standard wedding caterer there would've been a lot of things we would never have had to think about, but no other company we looked at would have been nearly as flexible and customizable as CustomKosher. Ultimately, we were very happy with the food and experience, and CustomKosher made our wedding day more unique and tasty!

We enjoyed are meal of Indian Food. It was delicious. There was a large quantity to have leftovers which we enjoyed the next day. There were little edible flowers included. Just that little extra touch made it seem like we were at a restaurant. How wonderful to have restaurant quality food while we are staying socially distant. I highly recommend ordering. I think we will do it often. Good healthy food at a reasonable price. Thank you for offering this. Jan McMillan

I became familiar with the food truck because they came to my complex at least four times. My first visit to their truck I ordered a Philly cheesesteak. I don't they were expecting the large crowd as my cheesesteak ended up taking an hour even though they said it was about a 20 minute wait. They gave me a discount, but I tipped anyway because I'm all about supporting small businesses. Honestly when I walk back into my condo I was so disappointed in the sandwich. It was the worst cheesesteak I've ever had. The tomatoes were old, the lettuce was sliced thick, there were thick chunks of yellow and red bell pepper, no kind of sauce, wrong kind of bread, just bad all around. It made me decide not to ever visit their truck if they came back to my complex again. The third time they came back I decided to give them another try and this time I texted my order before arriving to the truck. It didn't take long, my chicken was done in 10 minutes. I was able to order all flats with no extra charge. The wings were amazing! I've been back a third time and ordered the same wings. Honey Old Bay and garlic. I think wings are their specialty so you're better off sticking to that. If you do you won't be disappointed!

We are very happy we chose Farm to Feast to cater our wedding. Alexis and her team were a pleasure to work with throughout the process. We communicated mostly by email which made it easy to schedule the tasting and site visit and then to ask our many detailed questions as we got closer to the event. Her menu suggestions were excellent, and she was also happy to incorporate anything we asked for -- marmite, e.g. -- into the plan. As our menu evolved, Farm to Feast dropped off new additions at our house for a total of three tastings. We and our guests loved the food! The service was also great - I am unaware of any glitch and everything happened right on schedule - drinks and passed hors d'oeuvres outside, then moving indoors to a new bar setup and a dinner buffet followed by dessert. The servers were friendly and helpful. My husband and I did not stick around for cleanup, but my daughter reports that Farm to Feast handled the whole thing and Alexis herself did the final sweep of the dining room floor. I would sum up our experience as "amazing food and no worries."
How much does a Caterer cost?
Your expert caterer will be able to advise you on the most suitable menus and service.
What should I look for when choosing a Caterer?
It is important to know the following before deciding on a catering company:
Event Specialists - Many caterers handle certain types of events on a regular basis, such as weddings and corporate events.
Different cuisines - Caterers might specialise in different kinds of cuisine. Some caterers may provide a fine dining experience while others excel at barbecues that suit company picnics.
Special requirements - If you have special requirements for the food or a specific menu in mind make sure your caterer is happy to meet those requirements.
Venue - Your gathering might be taking place at someone’s home, a venue or outdoors. It can be helpful if your caterer has worked at the venue before.
Tastings - Ask for a tasting to make sure the food is of a high standard. Most caterers will prepare one for you at no charge, allowing you to assess the quality of their cooking before you hire them.
How do I check a Catering Company’s credentials?
You could look for caterers with a foundation degree, higher national diploma or degree in Professional Cookery and Culinary Arts.
Before you choose a caterer, you could read testimonials and see pictures of their food on their website.
You could also look at their profile page on Bark and read reviews from past customers, too.
