Quiet Connections

Hi, I’m Hayley, founder and lead coach at Quiet Connections. I’m here to assist you in your journey, exploring your map of the world together and navigating your opportunities and challenges, reflecting your strengths and resources back to you as you uncover new insights, make thoughtful and courageous choices, and take meaningful action on a path that’s aligned with who you truly are. I bring a varied toolkit having trained in Positive Psychology, NLP (neuro-linguistic programming), mBIT (multiple brain integration techniques), Blue Health coaching approaches and more (see below). As your coach, my role is to walk alongside you as a fellow explorer helping you to uncover your own inner wisdom, consider different perspectives and seek new answers, knowing that you are the expert on you. ] **If I'm not the right coach for you, I can introduce you to my associate coaches - male and female - who work remotely and in-person at different locations of Cornwall (from Porthleven & Helston, to Mount Hawke, Falmouth, Newquay & St Austell).** I often work with people who, like me, have quieter or more sensitive natures and I would especially love to work with you if you're excited about discovering your unique qualities, gifts, passions and experiences and exploring how best to use these to express yourself more authentically and make changes in your world in a way that works with your true nature -whatever this looks like for you. Before becoming a coach, my work and education focused on health and wellbeing and business, but a series of intuitive leaps of faith led me to discover that what I’m truly passionate about is facilitating personal growth and positive connections. I'm 35, director of a community interest company and a student living with my rescue dog, Robin. I'm currently taking a break from studying MSc Applied Positive Psychology and Coaching Psychology, fortunate to have the opportunity to study resilience with Ilona Boniwell, one of the European leaders in positive psychology. Credentials • Founded the community interest company Quiet Connections which helps people who are quiet, sensitive, shy or experiencing social anxiety, to make meaningful connections and find greater fulfilment in life so they can flourish as their true selves. • Worked with the School for Social Entrepreneurs, supporting entrepreneurs starting up and growing their social impact businesses by providing one-to-one coaching and mentoring and action learning team facilitation. • Currently training to deliver the SPARK Resilience Programme • Postgraduate Certificate in Applied Positive Psychology and Coaching Psychology • NLP Practitioner (neuro-linguistic programming) • mBIT Coach (multiple brain integration techniques - think head, heart & gut wisdom) • Blue Health Coach (the science and philosophy of water for wellbeing) • ASIST: Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training • Action Learning Team Facilitator • ILM Level 3 Award in Coaching • BSc Dimensions in Healthcare • Business Studies (140 credits level 4-6) • Association of NLP (ANLP) Professional Member • Code of Practice: ANLP, mBIT & EMCC

What do you love most about your job?

I love how coaching promotes curiosity and exploration that leads people to discovering new self-awareness and really getting clear on what it is that they need to live a life aligned with their values, and uncovering the self-compassion and courage within them to make important decisions and become more flexible in their behaviours so that they can move forwards in life-changing ways, at their own pace and in their own way.

What inspired you to start your own business?

As a highly sensitive introvert, I love and appreciate my quiet strengths, but I spent much of my life not feeling good enough and experiencing social anxiety. I missed so many opportunities because I was afraid of being judged harshly, criticised and rejected – and because I doubted that I had the ‘right’ personality to succeed. I built a business to help other quiet people realise their value, grow their confidence and explore how they can create a positive ripple effect in the world. This came to fruition, in part, because I had a fantastic coach who helped me to work through old patterns of keeping myself small and hidden so that I could show up and be seen to play my part in creating the more connected, curious and compassionate world that I dream of.

Why should our clients choose you?

I’m a curious explorer, just like you. I know that change isn’t easy and I’ve had my own experiences of feeling like I’m stuck and don’t belong -a long way from wellbeing and fulfilment. I believe that the only way we can flourish in life is through connecting with ourselves first.

My naturally calm and compassionate nature creates a safe space for you to explore who you really are and what’s truly important for you. With curiosity and sensitivity, I offer invitations and gentle challenge to help you dive deeper into uncovering new information about yourself and your situation, exploring different perspectives and tuning into your own inner wisdom to expand the pathways available to you and explore how they fit with your values and goals in life before supporting you in taking action to create the change you want to see in life.
