Catherine Quayle Counselling

Herefordshire

Hello and Welcome. I’m Catherine Quayle, a counsellor, providing counselling for Adults in Herefordshire. I offer help with a variety of issues, including (but not limited to ) anxiety, depression, bereavement, loss, OCD, relationship difficulties, stress and anger management. I'm an integrative counsellor - I blend several approaches to counselling depending on your individual circumstances and experiences, and on what we both feel is most useful for you. I work mainly with humanistic approaches but draw on elements of cognitive behavioural, and solution focused therapy. While I prefer to work in the here and now, it is sometimes necessary to explore your past so as to understand patterns of behaviours and the way you feel about yourself today. I firmly believe in helping you find your own unique resources and in enabling you to develop strategies for coping now and in the future. I won’t claim to have all the answers, or to be an expert on your life, but I'll be with you to guide, support and challenge you along your journey. Contact me for an appointment or for an informal chat about what you might need. 078•• •••••• c•••••@••••.com.

What do you love most about your job?

I know from my own journey, and through working with hundreds of men and women across the county, that it takes courage to acknowledge that we need some help. Sharing your troubles, taking an honest look at yourself, and making changes can be pretty scary. I have so much respect for the people who emabark on that journey. I get to meet such a variety of people from housewives to authors to soldiers to lawyers - all unique but with the shared theme of difficulties in life. I don't believe there is much that can beat the feeling of being trusted sharing a journey with another, and the admiration that comes with witnessing how people overcome and thrive!

What inspired you to start your own business?

I know from my own journey through therapy that counselling can really help. I believe everyone deserves the chance to heal, be comfortable with who they are, and realise the life they truly wish for. I trained in counselling, so I can support people along this journey.
Having my own counselling practice allows me to offer my clients the a flexible tailored service according to what they feel they need.

Why should our clients choose you?

My clients thank me for being real with them. When you are authentic, that’s when you’re accepting yourself exactly as you are; you‘re not spending all your precious energy worrying about what people think, or on hiding things from yourself or other people, or living up to others expectations.
It’s often at the point when life is most difficult that we have difficulty thinking straight. I help people to feel calm, and to recognise the strengths they forgot or never realised they had.
I realise finding the right therapist can be daunting, so I offer a half price initial consultation with no pressure to commit to further sessions.
Flexible appointments offered where needed.
