I believe that every person has the ability to overcome, heal, and creatively shape their life. I am dedicated to uncovering practical and effective methods to help you achieve your goals. I view the relationship between myself and clients as one of the most important contributors to therapeutic progress. Meaningful change requires a shift in perspective, and it is by way of a genuine therapeutic connection that a shift in perspective can manifest. What do you love most about your job?

I view psychotherapy as a blend of art and science. Every conversation is a creative process that unfolds in a unique way over time. I look forward to building a meaningful relationship with every client, helping them understand themselves better, and supporting them as they take a strong position toward their own lives.

What inspired you to start your own business?

I experienced life changing benefits from attending therapy. Inspired by my own experience as a client, I decided to pursue psychotherapy as a profession.

Why should our clients choose you?

I approach every session in an authentic manner and tell clients exactly what I think and what I feel. I believe that through an authentic and honest therapeutic relationship people can make tremendous progress in their lives.

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.

I am limited to working remotely (online) at this time. Online counseling can be advantageous for individuals who want to access a counselor from the safety and comfort of their own home. Working online still maintains the same genuine and authentic feeling of in-person counseling.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?

I have shifted to working online during Covid-19.

This will vary according to the level of experience and training that the therapist holds.

This will depend on where you live, what level of training your therapist has and what they specialise in (whether they are a counsellor, psychotherapist or psychologist) and also how many years of working experience they have.

Your professional therapist will be able to advise you on the full range of therapies available and will be able to help you select the best one to suit your needs. They will also be able to answer any questions you may have. Use Bark to get free quotes and find a trusted therapist today.

You need to devote some time to finding the right therapist as the connection you have with your therapist is essential. You need someone who you can trust, someone you feel comfortable talking to about difficult subjects and intimate secrets, someone who will be a partner in your recovery. Therapy will not be effective unless you have this bond, so take some time in the beginning to find the right person.

It is worth talking to a few potential therapists and asking questions. Therapists also have special areas of focus, such as depression or eating disorders. For some issues, such as trauma or PTSD, seeing a specialist is absolutely essential.

Everyone’s treatment is different. How long your therapy lasts depends on many factors.

You may be offered a single session of counselling, a short course of sessions over a few weeks or months or a longer course that lasts for several months or years.

It can take a number of sessions before you start to see progress but you should gradually start to feel better with the help and support of your trusted Bark therapist.

Professional counsellor training takes three to five years and can be a diploma or degree level. Qualification requires a minimum number of client hours acquired through a work placement.

You may also want to ask for testimonials of their recent work. You could also look at their profile page on Bark and Bark can show you reviews from past customers who have used their therapy.

Therapy has repeatedly and consistently helped patients with a whole host of issues. It can help with mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety or an eating disorder. Or it can help with an upsetting physical health condition such as infertility, a difficult life event such as a bereavement or a relationship breakdown. It can also be used to tackle difficult emotions such as low self-esteem, anger or sexual identity issues. Therapists also offer couples therapy. Therapists can also help with anxiety issues deriving from the coronavirus.

Absolutely! Many therapists offer sessions over the phone or through an online video chat platform, so you can have a session from the comfort of your own home - all you need is a strong internet connection and you're good to go.
