I specialize in coaching individuals aged 55 and above who are navigating personal and career transitions, planning for retirement, or adjusting to post-retirement life. If you're seeking support in articulating your dreams, desires, and aspirations for the next phase of life or retirement, clarifying your mission and goals, and achieving desired outcomes, I'm here to provide the guidance you need. Navigating the later stages of life can be overwhelming, especially when faced with changes and uncertainties. Research from McMaster University indicates that retirement transitions can bring about anxiety, loss of identity, family tensions, and loneliness, often compounded by financial considerations. However, you don't have to face these challenges alone. With the right guidance, you can build a rewarding and fulfilling retirement future. As a certified Retirement Transition Life Coach with over seven years of experience, I am dedicated to helping you uncover your potential and lead a life worth celebrating. I understand the complexities of the transitional process and the importance of psychological preparation, not just financial readiness. Retirement coaching goes beyond traditional career coaching, as it focuses specifically on your retirement years and the lifestyle changes associated with this new phase of life. My programs are designed to assist you in defining your future vision, establishing achievable goals, developing realistic plans, and providing support to implement these plans effectively. With my coaching, you can regain a sense of direction, achieve your goals, and experience the rewarding retirement you've long envisioned. My background as a Nationally Board-Certified Coach (BCC), certified in Transition Life/Retirement Coaching, and with an M.A in Counseling, ensures that you'll receive comprehensive guidance tailored to your individual needs. Whether you're facing a mid-life crisis or planning for retirement, I'm here to collaborate with you in designing a customized and flexible retirement plan that empowers you to prioritize what truly matters to you. I understand the challenges that may arise, such as rebuilding social networks, managing finances, or finding purpose after retirement. My coaching programs offer various options, including one-to-one coaching sessions and intensive workshops. Through personalized coaching sessions, exercises, and tools, we will work together to address your unique concerns, assess your options, and develop a plan of action for a fulfilling retirement.

What do you love most about your job?

People occasionally ask me WHY I got into Life /Retirement Transition Coaching. My lifelong professional goal has been TO empower my fellow man to overcome their obstacles, solve their problems, and bring out their full potential SO that they see their possibilities and discover the Big Picture of what their life could become. This is a definition of what Life Coaching is all about.

Life / Retirement Transition Coaching fits my professional and life goals exactly. No greater legacy can you leave than to change the future one individual at a time as they discover their true potential and discover their dreams. For me coaching is not just about fixing/solving problems, it is a type of conversation one has with oneself and with the world, and your coach facilitates that conversation.

I would be honored to be part of your conversations to discover your future and fulfill your Second Act entirely

What inspired you to start your own business?

Upon graduation from college, I started my career as a counselor. Over the years the need to provide more financial support for my family drove me to administrative positions as a Human Service Administrator, where I worked with individuals and families over the past 31 years providing crisis services.

I am not one to retire and am full of life and purpose still needing to be explored. My professional training is as a Rehabilitation Counselor and a Marriage and Family Counselor. As I enter my Encore /3rd Act Life, I wanted to return to the vocation of my dreams. I wanted to start a new career that would build on my year of experience and enable me to continue supporting my fellow man to live their best life.

I spent two years teaching for AARP with their "Life Reimagined" program and found such fulfillment in working with individuals who were preparing for or were recently retired that I decided to return to school and complete several additional certifications as a retirement, relationship, and career coach. Let me help you discover your Encore Life/Career and strengthen your relationship with your partner.

Why should our clients choose you?

As stated above, this is my life passion. In my 3rd Act, I have returned to my roots.

I completed the course work and pass the national exam to become a Board Certified Life Coach (BCC), BCC's have gone through extensive training and passed the National Board Certified Coach Exam, obtained experience in the field of coaching, have professional peer references and accountability to an enforceable ethics code and are among an elite group of coaches. I then went on to obtain additional national certifications from the top Retirement, Relation, and Career programs.

I hope to become your trusted mentor who can help you identify and uncover what keeps you from reaching your fullest potential. We will develop a one-on-one relationship that provides a supportive and non-judgmental space to help you create what you want for yourself.

I will help you strategize and acquire the tools you need to achieve your goals. I will teach you steps to help you identify and reframe your thoughts and attitudes. Together we can help you break negative habits, acquire new methods of identification, and take action to achieve your maximum potential!

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.

I can provide coaching services via Zoom, FaceTime, or the phone.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?

Masks in the office depend upon what you feel comfortable with. I have a one-person office so we only have the two of us at my office. I have arranged the room so we are at least six feet apart.
