New You

I am a BANT registered Nutritional Therapist. I provide one-to-one nutrition consultations to support people with a range of issues from managing health conditions, weight management, improving energy or mood, dealing with stress, or improving fertility. You are what you eat and making improvements to your diet can help with all sorts of issues! The Process: Step One - You fill out a 3 day diet diary and detailed health questionnaire which I carry out an analysis of before we meet. Step Two - We meet for your initial consultation (1.5 hours) to go over your health aims, questionnaire responses and what changes you feel you can manage. I am always non-judgemental and your plan is about YOU and what YOU can and want to achieve, not about me or anyone else! Step Three - I type up a Personal Nutrition Plan and send you it by email. This will include the dietary and lifestyle changes we agreed together in your consultation, optional supplement recommendations, details of how to buy discounted supplements, and any handouts that may be of use to you. Pricing: For the above I charge £75. Follow-up appointments can be arranged as required, these last 1 hour and I charge £40. Location: Usually I work from Blue Morpho Centre on Broughton Street, central Edinburgh. Evening appointments in Leith also available; other locations may be available on request. Times: I usually work Monday to Friday, times can be flexible and evening appointments are also available.

How important is a healthy diet to someone’s health and wellbeing?

Hugely important! You are what you eat and the right foods can positively impact on all areas of our physical and mental health. Our bodies cannot perform the tasks they need to without the correct balance of micro and macro nutrients.

What do you love most about your job?

Helping people to help themselves. It's not me doing the work it's you, I can't change your diet for you! But I get huge satisfaction out of being a part of a person's journey, setting them off on the right path and watching them make improvements over time.

What inspired you to start your own business?

The opportunity to help people on a one-to-one basis. One individual helping out another.

Why should our clients choose you?

I am a kind, caring, non-judgemental person and I believe this comes across in my consultations. To back this up I have the knowledge required: I am a qualified Nutritional Therapist, registered with BANT. I always provide my clients with a typed up Personal Nutrition Plan with our agreed dietary and lifestyle changes, optional supplement recommendations, details of how to obtain discounted supplements, and handouts and recipes where appropriate. Your plan will be unique to you, based on YOUR personal goals and values and what feels practical and achievable to YOU.
