I am a mental health counselor practicing both in-person, and via telehealth. I have experience counseling young adults, college age students, and professional adults. I use trauma informed therapy, substance use counseling, existential therapy, crisis management, and interpersonal/relational therapy. I have a background in the arts and music industry prior to becoming a psychotherapist. I approach therapy with consideration to each individuals and their needs.
I love learning about people and forming a therapeutic relationship with empathy, safety, and positive regard. I enjoy helping people figure out what they care about and how to have their actions and choices line up with those goals and values. I believe that sometimes reaching the place of making appropriate choices means talking through past trauma and interpersonal dynamics.
I combined my knowledge from 15 years working in publishing and arts, along with the years I've spent working at college counseling centers in order to do this on my own. Working this way allows me freedom to see patients as often as they need and with more one on one attention.
