How important is a healthy diet to someone’s health and wellbeing?

Optimal health depends primarily on a balance of three parts of a health jigsaw but balanced nutrition to fit your personal genetic needs, work and lifestyle is the most important.
You can't exercise away an inadequate diet or cure absorption or nutrient processing problems with emotional and motivational support.
It's hard to be optimally healthy without a structured fitness program and balanced emotional health but it's impossible to achieve without the right balance of macro and micro nutrients and making sure your digestive, hormonal and cognitive systems are all working in harmony.

What do you love most about your job?

Seeing people who have been suffering needlessly with IBS or hormonal problems find relief, sometimes with weeks, is a great motivation to continue to do what we do but probably the best reward is the delight of helping couples become parents when they'd previously been told they were infertile. Helping youngsters overcome eating disorders can save their lives both literally and career wise but because they often arrive at our door late, in crisis it's then often a long, arduous and frustrating journey back to full health taking many months, sometimes years. More work needs to be done to alert educational establishments and parents to recognise the signs and seek professional multi disciplinary support far earlier on.

What inspired you to start your own business?

We believe that working in a very client centred way at their own pace with an unrestricted range of tools ultimately helps patients far more efficiently and cost effectively. Sometimes that means referring to another medical professional that can better serve them and the underlying root cause of their problem. It's rare to find that flexibility without being able to avoid hierarchy that's missing in your own business.

Why should our clients choose you?

Yvonne has a unique set of expert nutrition therapy skills and experience gathered over many years working with not just a range of clients in London and Beaulieu, but also research to diligently advise media, in politics and the food and natural health industry. Yvonne is fiercely independent and although she may be seen 'helping' companies she refuses to be tied to a particular brand or system that would restrict her ability to offer the flexibility needed to give her patients the best possible advice and recommendations to suit their individual needs.
