My love of baking came from my mum; she taught me how to make (the best!) sweet shortcrust pastry and delicious cakes and puddings. Once I grew up and left home, I started to expand my baking repertoire by learning to make puff pastry, choux pastry, creme patisserie, creme mousseline, creme diplomat and macarons. I've always enjoyed baking but during the first lockdown I was furloughed from my job as a barista in a local cafe, and this allowed me to expand my decorating skills.

I have ordered from Jessibakes on 2nd February 2021 a Bisoff cake. It was delivered on time by the owner in a cake box. The cake not only looked beautiful but tasted very nice too. The sponge was very light and the cream not overly sweet. I don't like too sweet cakes so this cake thicked all the boxes for me. I would highly recommend Jessibakes for every occasion. I will be ordering my next cake soon🙂.

Sarah made our beautiful and delicious wedding cake. She was able to use her expertise as we were unsure on the design and it looked truly amazing! We had 4 tiers with 4 different flavours and the sponges held up perfectly. The hotel even commented that it was a great cake to cut! Communication was great and fairly priced. She also provided us with “love” letters which looked amazing by the dance floor.

I have always loved baking and did some cake decorating courses in the 80s when I was younger. I. Dipped in and out of being a pastry chef and finally decided to start my own business. I haven't looked back. I absolutely love my job.
