We are a multidisciplinary health and fitness facility located in Kingston, Ontario. We offer services in physiotherapy, massage therapy, and fitness training. Our philosophies help our clients realize their ultimate health and strength and conditioning goals through an individualized, evidence-informed approach. Drawing from the fields of biomechanics, exercise physiology and rehabilitation therapy, each client is taken through an extensive biomechanical and metabolic assessment, identifying movement pattern dysfunctions, muscle imbalances, and cardiovascular capacity.
A big thank you to Brad for getting me out of pain and back on track to a comfortable, active life. I presented with debilitating work related shoulder issues and Brad's treatment plan has worked wonders. He is very attentive to my needs & concerns, taking the time to understand how the problem happened and trying several approaches to get the best results. He has been very helpful with showing me how to avoid recurrences as well. I am very lucky to have found him and feel 'fixed' when I was afraid I was permanently broken! ALL of the staff at this facility are friendly, welcoming & compassionate. The atmosphere is here is one of support, healing & encouragement. Highly recommended!
Nick and Christina (owners/coaches) are the most incredible people on the planet. I have been going to Stave Off for just a little over a year now, and have seen crazy results in my overall fitness. Going to Stave Off is the best part of my day, every day! The overall community feel is like none other, everyone is super supportive and loving - 10 outta 10 this place is hands down the best gym in Kingston, if not Ontario, if not all of Canada!
I joined SMA karate after almost 20 years away from Karate, and it has been a great experience. Shihan Rob Patry is very friendly and supportive of his students, helping everyone learn at their own pace. If you want to get in shape and learn some martial arts at the same time, this is the place for you!
Sarah has been training me now for over 6 months and the results have been fantastic. I have lost weight, put on muscle and my overall health and stamina have improved dramatically. I wish I could give her 6 stars! Trevor has also been a great help with his meal plans and dietary advice. They are a great team and more importantly, great people! If your New Year's resolution is to go to the gym, contact them first, you won't regret it.
I have been training here for almost a year and the attention and knowledge I get from the coaches is above and beyond what I pay for my membership. These guys should be charging more for what they offer! I highly recommend!
As a physiotherapist, I understand the importance of varied and regular exercise. I also recognize the risk of injury inherent in participating in an organized exercise program. Having trained with Josh both in one-on-one sessions and as a participant in his weekend boot camp classes, I am so impressed with his attentiveness to every individual in class, as well as his ability to adapt any exercise to meet an individual's fitness level or movement restriction, whether due to body type or injury. I had confidence in his competence as a personal trainer from the first time I worked with him and would recommend him to both friends and clients. I'm looking forward to training with him more this fall.
