What do you love most about your job?

Nothing gives me a greater sense of purpose than improving lives through education and reframing. Skills, especially life skills are some of the only things that multiply the more you pass them on. My aim in this role is to pass on as much of what I've learned as I can with the time I am afforded.

What inspired you to start your own business?

When I was a teenager, I used to be terrified of public speaking and the chronic fear was ruining my life. For weeks prior to any kind of situation where I knew I'd be standing in front of my peers, reading or speaking, I'd lose sleep, feel relentlessly nauseous and experience lowered immunity to illness, brain fog and impaired memory. I was sure I'd be stuck with this situation forever as nothing I'd tried seem to make a difference.

As my good fortune had it, a friend of my Dad's was staying with us for a few days prior to the commencement of the school term and I told him of my predicament. 5 minutes later, after a fairly low-intensity conversation and guided hypnosis session, I was completely free. Not only did I go back to school without any fear of public speaking but I also had the opportunity to represent my school at a regional level at the Sydney Morning Herald Public Speaking competition that year and came close to winning.

Ever since that fateful year, I've always been fascinated to observe just how effortlessly we take on beliefs and patterns, inherited or otherwise, and allow them to run our lives for better or worse, as well as how difficult it can be for people to chance them once they have taken hold. I've spent years researching and learning from competent professionals who have refined processes of identifying and reframing beliefs to get the most out of life and after much study, refined a process of my own. Now, after over a decade, I confidently work with clients from all walks of life and revel in the joy they feel as they experience the same level of powerful transformation in their own lives. Whether it is a deeply entrenched pattern that has been around for many years or simply a habit that is holding you back, I look forward to handing you the tools I've been refining so you can feel confident refining a process of your own.

Why should our clients choose you?

People should choose me if it feels right. More than just because of qualifications and experience, I think of every session as a partnership and agreement to work together and that has to be a good fit on a variety of levels.

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.

I used to think that face to face was the only way to go, however, lockdown proved me wrong. Online sessions are a great and effective alternative and have opened up my opportunities to reach people who I would otherwise been unable to. All you need is a solid and reliable internet connection and a quiet place where you are not going to be disturbed and we're good to go. Another consideration is, of course, time zones if we're arranging sessions outside Sydney but we'll do our best to accommodate.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?

The Sydney Hypnotherapy & Self-Hypnosis Centre, where I operate, is considered a 'Covid Safe' business, following all appropriate guidelines and recommendations from the NSW government. We have also upgraded facilities to make it easier for clients to have access to online sessions.
