Lexi was amazing and the cake was so delicious. Planning our wedding was a huge challenge and of all the vendors, Luce Cakes was by far our favorite. Lexi made the process simple and fun, she really loves what she does, and her business is all about helping people find the perfect thing for them, totally custom and unique. So when we didn't know what we wanted, she had ideas, and when we wanted something crazy and specific (Our names all over the bottom tier of the cake), she was excited and positive and totally made it happen! people that came to my wedding are STILL telling me how much they liked the cake. Lexi helped us make the perfect display and matched it to our theme, and gave it some flair that we never would have dreamed up. It was so delicious and so beautiful. The cake tasting was so much fun, but I do think she needs more photographs of her work for clients to choose from!

A good friend of mine asked me to pick up cupcakes for her sisters birthday. For my convenience I tried to find the closest cupcake shop to my house, because how good can one cupcake be over another, right? Wrong! Cups and Cakes has an amazing variety of cupcakes all of which are delicious. The great thing about their cupcakes is it's not just your standard chocolate or vanilla (although they have those too). They have a ton of interesting flavors like the German Chocolate Cupcake and the Maple Bacon Cupcake, and for those of you who want to try a few different flavors... they also have mini cupcakes!

If I had reviewed this the first time I visited, after getting a huge cupcake with a filling and delicious topping and soft perfect cake, I'd have given 5-star. But two subsequent visits were good but a bit dried out. Seems consistency isn't key unless that one cupcake was the only one I really like on their menu (can't remember what it was called now).

There's a line in a James Brown song that says, "So good, so good, 'cause I got you." These are the words I recited in my head after eating some of Beth's delectable delights. I was lucky enough to enjoy her treats at a party for a friend. I'm usually very mindful of my "sweets intake" whenever I am at an event. I threw caution to the wind and enjoyed not 1, not 2, but 8 (yes, 8) of her pastries. I had eaten so many of her pastries, dinner was no longer a requirement. I normally take plenty of pics of the food I review. But, I was too focused on the flavor. Yum!

It's no suprise that I live by Nob Hill BB location. Everytime when I've spare change in pocket, I make my way there. This was even before they moved out of Polk St. This particular location, I discovered them while in the building trying to find info on Coast Poke Counter. The shop is actually a stall that can be moved in half a day's work. There aren't any heavy machinery or equipments only a box tying machine on display. Eventually I got me fig scone and ate it before meetup. Afterwards, I was thirsty as no beverages are sold there.
