She was always responsive to emails and calls and was honest about her thoughts while accommodating what I wanted. She had brought four interns to help with the day and placed every decoration exactly where I had imagined it to be. If I were to hire an event pro, I would personally ask the following of the intended: 1) How do you handle stressful situations and last minute changes? Please provide an example of when you did this recently DAY OF an event. 2) How long have you been in the business as a key event designer and planner, not an assistant? 3) How long have you been working in the "area client is in"? (This tells me they know venues, they have vendor relationships built for better negotiations, and are savvy to ABC and Fire permits or City permissions that are needed, if necessary. EX: If search lights are part of a Hollywood themed event, what is the protocol? --yes I have this answer--)
