The food here is awesome. Either at the cafe or at an event after a couple of bites your face changes and all of the sudden you have that smile that a 6 years old kid has when he sees his new bike!New flavors are waiting for you, creative, fusion, quality, kindness are some of the words that come to my mind when I eat their food and think about the people who own this cafe!Support local businesses I'm sad they are no 6 stars reviews. 6 for you guys keep up the good work!
Very impressed. I had the tenderloin steak ranchero, it was fabulous. I haven't been here in a while. Portion sizes seem bigger this time (much appreciated), prices are fair and food is prepped beautifully. Many more tasty menu items I'll be back again next time to try!
My mixed love affair with Maxie's keeps me from giving them 5 stars. But there's a lot to love.
Pros: lovely, relaxed and quirky atmosphere. The upstairs dining room is really neat with the doors hanging. Consistent menu with fresh and new ideas offered all the time.
Cons: Can be BUSY, and the bar is quite small with no where else to accommodate waiting guests. I've had the occasional "miss" with some of their dishes, but it's to be expected with a place like this.
All in all, GREAT date spot for a cozy conversation and upscale southern comfort food.
