Escape the hustle and bustle with a visit to The Head Shed at Lagard Farm. Set in an acre of garden surrounded by fields and working farmland, The Head Shed is a self contained conference and meeting facility in the grounds of Lagard Farm; a 250 year old converted milking dairy. It is the ideal venue for those looking to get out of the office environment to allow for creative thinking, dedicated team time and outcome focused planning. AN INSPIRING MEETING VENUE The fresh air, countryside setting and great facilities make it an inspiring venue for meetings, training and team away days. We’re only 10 miles from Bath and Chippenham and are located off the M4 Junction 17. At The Head Shed your delegates can get away from it all and see things from a different perspective. TEAM BUILDING ACTIVITIES Having use of the grounds at Lagard Farm lends the venue to support teambuilding activities that can be the perfect way to energise your team. We have an experienced HR professional in residence who can offer facilitation and support depending on the type of activity you wish to undertake. Equally, if you wish to source your own team building supplier because of a bespoke requirement, you are free to do so. Meeting Space FACILITIES INSIDE The Head Shed is a converted farm building that has been specifically renovated as a meeting room and has space for up to 12 delegates seated. The room dimensions are 4.5 by 6 metres. There is also the option to have your meeting in a more informal setting for smaller one to one coaching, counselling and mentoring sessions as there are 2 easy chairs provided in the facility. The Head Shed is available for room hire only for half / full days. Pricing is tailored to individual requirements and can be structured on a variety of rates depending on additional services you may wish to include such as catering and facilitator hire. Reverting to a delegate day rate depending on your requirements is also an option where the room hire can be incorporated into the overall delegate day rate charge at a reduced rate. OUTSIDE There is a dedicated garden area at the rear of the building which is allocated for the use of visitors using The Head Shed. At just under ¼ of an acre it is a lawned area with a variety of trees and shrubs including a patio area that can be utilized for outside dining or meeting space, should you wish to hold your meeting outdoors and enjoy the calm countryside setting. The Head Shed is fully WiFi enabled and can support multiple laptops including projection directly through to a 65 inch TV screen via an HDMI cable. Flip charts and pens are also provided within the day rate. The broadband speed is 30MB/sec. Free parking on site is available for up to 10 cars with additional parking available outside Lagard Farm. There is a uni-sex bathroom in the building with additional toilet facilities available in the main farm house. CATERING Good food leads to great ideas, and our kitchen is on hand with a range of menus using delicious produce. Enjoy a variety of catering options from Bacon Butties on arrival to soups, sandwich, buffet and full hot lunches, BBQ summer options as well as tea & coffee refreshments with or without cake and biscuit options.If you have specific food requirements, menus will be designed to suit your needs and will be individually priced according to your specific requirements. Accommodation If you are travelling from further afield and would like overnight accommodation then you may wish to explore the availability of The Bothy; a 2 bedroomed cottage in the garden of Lagard Farm. The Bothy is a fully equipped holiday let, finished to an extremely high standard with all of the amenities you should expect for a ‘home away from home’ stay. Original beams, light and open living space and it’s own private garden means you can enjoy a peaceful stay without any interruptions. A TV and broadband are also included in the cottage for the use of guests as part of the rental charge. There are 2 double bedrooms in addition to an open plan living, dining and kitchen area, with a shared family bathroom and a second separate WC. If self-catering isn’t for you, the owner is happy to provide an evening meal service by separate arrangement. The owners rent the cottage via Airbnb but are happy to take direct bookings should the cottage be available for the nights that you require. This may suit trainers who wish to remain local and who are using The Head Shed for 2+ day courses, for example.
