Having undergone several years of counselling myself for two separate issues, I was totally empowered by the two amazing and very patient counsellors that helped me change my life. I felt that if I could do this for just one person then my negative life experiences would not have been in vein. I chose to undergo six years of counsellor training, finally completing my Diploma in Counselling at The University of Salford. I gained much and varied experience by working at North Staffs Mind and soon chose to offer an independant service without the politics and restraints of management. However, I do abide by the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy's Code of Ethics.
I offer clients a professional, yet warm and caring service, a safe place to bring the issues that are troubling them. I listen carefully, am empathic but will challenge where useful. I do not judge but will be honest. I am well used to offering short term therapy via EAPs, Insurance Companies and the IAPT service or longer term therapy where possible.
