What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?

There are no secrets to taking a great photograph, but the results of someone taking a great photographs consistently as a professional, is the result of thousands of photos and consistent study, as well as trial and error, applying what they learned before a photographer can guarantee to their clients, that the photos we take will result in superior technical quality and superb images that have something special and/or unique, that will make people stop and take a second look.

What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?

My photo library of images numbers just over 500,000 images now (and those are just the wedding photos that I've shot), so I don't have to ask much. But my number one goal is always to please the clients that hire me. And in order to do that, I make sure that I know exactly what their expectations are, since it's always my desire to exceed them.

What do you love most about your job?

That's the most difficult question. There's so much to love about what I do. I'd have to say that when I work with someone, or a couple, and they're ecstatic over the results that we jointly achieve, that's what I live for: to please people with the work that I do for them.

What inspired you to start your own business?

I took my first photo at the age of 7, of my parents sitting on the beach together in Hawaii, using an old camera. Something happened when I saw the results of that image, and it has stuck with me from that moment, and my desire to be the very best that I can be at this craft known as photography, has only grown over the years.

Why should our clients choose you?

Because I care, more than anyone I have ever known or met. And if they knew how much I care, how hard I work and how much I am committed to excellence, and in pleasing them, they would all hire me. : )

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.

As a photographer, I have to be in person. However, I do travel a lot to reach the clients that choose to hire me.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?

I protect the people that hire me by always wearing a mask-no matter what. And I tend to maintain a safe distance from other people in as much as I can, by using a longer lens than pre-Covid. However, it's not my job to police how others handle themselves during these difficult times. Lately, there are times when I'm the only one still wearing a mask while on a wedding. But that's OK since everyone has to take responsibility for themselves and their own health and well-being.
