Our website is the best way to contact us, but we just wanted to take a minute to introduce ourselves. We are Jacob and Rachael Carter, a husband and wife photo team. We both went to art school at the University of South Carolina, went to the same church, and had lots of mutual friends for years but our paths didn't actually cross until October 2013. I (Rachael) had just started my first year teaching elementary art and Jacob was homeless (kidding, but he was living in a transitional house as the house leader for men coming out of homelessness).

I am an on-location children’s and family photographer in Columbia, SC. I love to use natural light in the great outdoors. I also offer Lifestyle Photography in your home. This can be for a newborn shoot with your brand new baby, a couple's shoot, or even a family shoot. I love the concept of Lifestyle Photography because it is done in your home, with your things, where you are most comfortable.

My water broke Friday morning, and I texted her that our little girl was on the way! YAY! She was fantastic staying in contact with my husband all day during the labor, and when I was finally ready to push, Drea came straight to the hospital at 1:30am!!! She was so sweet and calm during the whole labor, and after! She just squeezed behind the bed and worked her Magic! We will forever be grateful for the memories she captured. I still watch the slideshow daily in awe

We knew how important good pictures are and how many people have said they regret hiring a photographer because they were cheap so we budgeted a good amount for our photographer. Gregg was worth every penny! The engagement pictures were beautiful. The bridal portrait pictures were down right gorgeous!!!! He knew exactly how to shoot the pics to make everyone look great. He took one at the wedding and posted it immediately to Facebook and it has gone viral. Everyone loves it!! He is high energy and doesn't miss a shot. He has taken pictures of celebrities, sports figures, etc. and he is still down to earth and treated us like we were every bit as important as the celebrities and sports figures he has shot. I highly recommend him to anyone and everyone. His packages are right in line with other good photographers in our area (and even cheaper than a well known photographer in Lexington). We are so happy we chose him for our daughter's wedding!
I don't want to tell none of my secrets. I want to remain the best; this is my full time income.
I might ask them to give me a run down on there idea/vision so I can bring it into reality.
I love that every customer I work with is so amazed at the results from working with me; I love to make me happy. Moreover, every shoot I do comes out better than I expected every time. I really have a God giving talent.
I use to like taking pics of myself and using filters on instagram to better my images. I bought my first camera with intentions to have higher quality images of myself. Once I got it nobody around me wanted to help take pics of me with it because it seemed to advanced for them. I ended up taking pictures of everyone else. I got my first $30 when someone seen me with the camera. I had no clue how to use it . I was jus a point and shoot camera man with my settings on auto wishing for the best. Once i made my first $30 I was happy and was determined to make back the $500-$600 I spent on the camera. I figured ill charge $20 each person until I got the money. I kept on going and gained more confidence after I kept on receiving money and watched thousands of youtube videos on how to work my camera to become a better photographer. I learned alot from youtube as well as trial and error. Eventually I wanted to make more money and got bored because I perfected photography. Therefore I got into videos and perfected that in similar ways.
I really am the best. I have the fastest turnaround time and everything I do with media is perfect each time. My work speaks for itself. I honestly never have had a upset client. https://www.instagram.com/jcmediaproductionz/
