Eclectic Counselling

Dublin

It’s good to talk, and often sharing a problem can take the sting out of it. It can sometimes be difficult to discuss issues with family or friends where you need to weigh up issues that may touch them through mutual relationships. Your issues may be deeply personal and knowing that you want confidentiality without any judgement is sometimes easier with somebody outside your usual circle. Qualified counsellors / psychotherapists have been trained to actively listen and adapt the many eclectic therapies available to suit your particular needs. The stigma of attending counselling is hopefully a thing of the past, and it is becoming a healthy, acceptable option.

What do you love most about your job?

I feel very privileged to work within a profession where I can help people. It is very rewarding to watch people who come to me and go through the counselling process, leave with a new perspective on their lives having addressed and worked through their issues. I meet and get to know lots of very interesting people and feel more enriched for having met them.

What inspired you to start your own business?

Having worked in business for many years, I felt it was time to change my career to something that I would find more fulfilling personally and that I would feel I was being of benefit to others.

Why should our clients choose you?

I feel that everybody that comes to me is unique, as are their issues, and as such require the approach that is most suited to them. The Eclectic approach where Eclectic Counselling derives its name, incorporates an integrative mix of counselling methods, tailored to meet each individual and their issues most effectively. The approaches incorporate Person Centred, Humanistic, Narrative, Existential, and cognitive behavioural therapies such as Reality Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy.
