Jo did the photography for our wedding in Jan. We chose her as we had been to a friend's wedding where she had done the photography and liked her approach and photos. Jo worked with us in a really relaxed way and took us through ideas of photos which was great for us as we did not know where to start. The weather was pretty naff on the day but Jo was happy to be out in it with no complaints and worked efficiently through all the group shots so our guests stayed comfortable whist still getting some great shots. The photos she has given us are lovely and captured some great moments. Would recommend

We had the pleasure of Jon joining us as photographer for our wedding day in September. Jon really put us both at ease with his relaxed style and wonderful personality. He stayed in touch prior to the wedding date with some lovely friendly emails, top tips and Blogs on previous weddings. Neither my Husband or I are particularly confident in front of the camera, but Jon was extremely understanding and really took the pressure off with a natural style, while still capturing some truly amazing shots. He knew the venue well and was able to suggest some amazing spots for photographs as well as taking on board some of our suggestions. We had some very special feathered guests join us for the wedding and Jon managed to capture some amazing shots for us including some behind the scenes images. James Alexander Images provided the stunning photography for our wonderful wedding that took place in Sherborne, during August 2013. James was both professional, yet extremely friendly, throughout the planning stages, and provided a high level of attention to detail when guiding us during the initial preparation. He helped us choose the most suitable set of photographs for the day, and followed this up with a stunning pre-wedding shoot at Stourhead Gardens. On the day, James and his colleague Darren took a host of pre-ceremony pictures at both the bride and groom's parent's houses, and then proceeded to take a varied, yet beautiful selection of photos at the church. Both James and Darren knew exactly where to take the best photos, and it was clear they both had completed pre-wedding visits to understand the layout for the big day. What we also loved was that they were not obtrusive or invasive, and it was almost as if they were not even there!The photos completed at the reception complimented the ceremony wonderfully, and Laura and myself are thrilled with the results - all given copyright free on a USB stick. I've always loved taking pictures. I started taking detailed pictures of sand traps at a golf course, then looked at details on flowers, insects, dogs and moved on to people who let me use them as a model. It's amazing being able to meet new people and share in such an amazing moment in their lives (for weddings, anyway). It's also a great pleasure when someone sees a great photo of themselves and gets they are filled with confidence - sometimes a reminder of your uniqueness is a gentle reminder of how incredible you are.
I moved from the US to the UK to be with my wife. I always wanted to have a schedule I was in control of so I could spend more time with her after having a long-distance relationship for so long so I thought about the skills I could use. Photography was an easy choice, being a big passion in my life and something I can continuously learn in while letting my creativity flow.
