What do you love most about your job?

What I love about my job is being able to bring meaning and quality to the lives of our service users. Being able to use our experience and expertise to meet the individual needs services users through a thorough care and support plan that is person-centred. I also love to work closely with the team to ensure that our staff are working at the highest level to ensure quality of care and in a manner that is reflective of the expressed needs of the client and their family.

What inspired you to start your own business?

As a qualified psychiatric nurse I have worked within the healthcare sector for over a decade, I have vast experience of working with clients of all backgrounds and with varied levels of care requirement. I have experience of managing wards, staff nurses and health care assistants as well as experience of working within the community, in residential and supported living settings. working closely with patients with dementia, mental health issues such as severe schizophrenia, challenging behaviour, substance abuse etc.

I have been working and managing Forensic Service User in Forensic Rehabilitation centre as well as in Prison and Immigration detention Centre. Anxiety and well as Eating Disorder, and finally I provide and managing these with high tendencies of abusing drugs and alcohol.

It also dawned on me during this experience that people are most comfortable and feel safest within their own homes especially when poorly, they feel more in control, in an environment where their families can freely visit them and also provide them with the most dignified care that they are more receptive to.

It is this experience and expertise that inspired me to establish a business within my community, the driver of which was to meet the needs of the elderly. At the core of our service is compassionate service delivery, we only recruit the best and most highly trained staff who reflect our core value. I am passionate about ensuring that our organisation not only provides the best quality care to our service users but that they go above and beyond to ensure that service users are communicated with effectively, that they are listened to and that we act on the expressed concerns/needs of our clients and their families/friends.Our intent is to provide the quality of care that anyone would want to be provided to either themselves or their family member.
