I have two children who attend unite one in dragons and one who is now a red belt my son has been coached very well in dragons only 6 but has been taught life skills and more importantly respect my daughter however found it tough at the beginning and struggled with the sparring side but again down to fantastic work by the coaches have seen her rise through the ranks to being a red belt it’s one big family at unite and coaches cater for everyone kids are all equal and the bonus of 4 free lessons will help you see that

Without exception, the coaches at Unite are consistently professional, supportive and encouraging - my grandson has progressed so much in just under a year, achieving success in 4 gradings so far. Both of my children attend unite and they both really enjoy going to each and every training session. The coaches are very supportive and understanding towards the students and higher grades will always muck in and help the lower grades. The only negative thing I have to say that the poomsae on a Sunday morning is better advertised. It’s a great lesson with another great coach. I seriously doubt that anyone at unite would try to offend (deliberately or otherwise) their pupils/customers. I have been going for 6 years and have watched it grow, i would certainly reccommend it to anyone and everyone! F.Y.I you complain that picking teams is old and unfair then go to school because that is the default way of picking teams! More...

My son Oscar would not join other martial arts groups when I took him to watch. I took him to unite and he absolutely loved it and continues to do so. Our eldest son started training at Unite Formby 3 years ago and last night earned his black stripe. The amazing coaching team have not only taught him the skills he needed to get through 9 tough gradings and on his way to earning a black belt but invaluable life lessons too. My son started Dragons 3 years ago at the age of 5 and has since moved on to Cadets and now is in the Taekwondo Class. He absolutely loves it and has got so much from it. He has learnt more than just how to kick...... he has fitness, flexibility, stamina but more importantly he has confidence and self belief. Lisa and Jim put everything into getting the best out of him and it pays off.
I took up Taekwondo myself 2 years ago and the adult classes are so much fun - we have a good laugh and get fit at the same time!
My 11 year old daughter is now also getting in on the act so we go to a family class on a Wednesday!!!

So proud to be a part of Unite Formby.

From the first ever session opposite The Grapes then swiftly onto Pinetops, the Dove Centre, Stevenson's Way, Mayflower Estate and our current home at Formby High School.
It's tremendous to see how much each student has developed from this that have only done a few classes to the senior students that have been enhancing their skills over many years.
There is an amazing set of instructors and coaches, who are always learning and devoted to helping all the students achieve their goals. And not forgetting the reception staff who are absolutely brilliant making sure everyone is looked after, a role that Joy started for us whilst bringing Molly along to training back in 2012/13 A case in point of how tremendously supportive parents have been including hours or work put in to help on previous venues, without mentioning everyone, it would be wrong to not mention Mike L!
Now, if only we could have another Halloween Walk-through like the one on Mayflower Estate! More...

My daughter (7) went to her first session at Unite this week. She was made to feel welcome by the coaches, and another child was asked to help her during the session so she would know what to do. I have a 12 year old son who attends unite martial arts. He trains regularly four times a week and enjoys his classes. He attended the new exciting venue at Ormskirk recently and we were all really pleased with the facilities they have to offer there. Lovely friendly atmosphere and he was made to feel very welcome. Lovely matted area for them to train and great atmosphere. Coaches was very warming and professional and made everyone feel welcome.
