I started taking my youngest daughter when she was 6 months to Kate’s class at Praa Sands. She was one of these babies who really didn’t like swimming, and she spent a fair amount of time in tears while I hung to the side of the pool trying to calm her down so we could rejoin the class. This is quite stressful for any parent, but Kate’s constant reassurance to me, and her helpful suggestions meant that gradually Evie got used to being in the pool. Kate worked really hard to gain Evie’s trust, and was so respectful of her boundaries that we eventually turned a corner, and Evie now holds her arms out for Kate! Evie smiled and giggled through today’s class - a breakthrough! Sadly though, today was our last swim session with Kate, as we are moving away. If I could smuggle Kate away with us, I would! We wanted to share our little girls awesome swimming video. At just 3 years old she is already starting to master side breathing! Super proud watching her Daisy has been swimming with Reecy since she was 4 months old! Her older brother Alfie swam with her until he was 4 and her little brother Finley has just finished his first term. We still highly recommend Reecy and swim academy. She is a fantastic teacher and is amazing with children of all ages. She has always been great at fitting the children into different classes over the years that work well for us. Reecy is very approachable and has great enthusiasm which shows when you see the smiles on the children’s faces each week. More...

Today, me and Leo had our first swim class, He is 10 weeks old. It was fab. Lovely venue and facilities. Staff were great and so helpful. I was nervous getting changed as Leo was starting to cry but Hayley kept Leo entertained without me even asking. We are coming to the end of an era with Swim Academy for our Alfie! We wanted to say a MASSIVE thank you � to his AWESOME swimming teacher Reecy! � She has taught him since he was just 4 months old, a chubby little baby, to a super swimming 4 year old who loves getting in the water every week and we have Reecy to thank for that! � She has been there week on week working with us to get Alfie to where he is now and we are so very proud of him and grateful to her for everything she has taught him, not only at swimming but his confidence has grown and we know he will miss her dearly. She delivers an exciting and educating class every week with games and songs which has proven to show real results! We are very lucky to have our little girl still swimming with Reecy and another baby on the way that we will no doubt want to be taught by her too in the future. We have been taking our little one to Swim Academy since she was 8 weeks old and has been the most incredible journey. Ilaria is now 18 months old and is so confident and comfortable in the water. We have been with Kate Hare from the word go and she has really built up a wonderful bond with all of us, not just Ilaria! Whether it was providing moral support and words of wisdom during our sleepless nights, or teaching Ilaria a new move in he water, Kate has been there through it all � we’re having to take a short break from swimming but can’t wait to get back in the water soon. Fantastic swimming lessons for my 2 yr old daughter, who had very little confidence in the water.. after just 2 lessons she is joining in with all the singing and fun tasks, and was fantastic at going under the water for the first time, all due to the fantastic swim instructor and the way they teach all aspects of health and safety in the water in a fun child friendly way.
