I specialize in romantic and artistic wedding portraiture photography with a hint of modernity. I love to take pictures of people & I’m very friendly with them. My goal is to show the beauty, grace, strength and enthusiasm of people. I started photography when I was at 14. But during that time I didn’t know how to be creative in photography. I have the power to see the beauty. Now I feel really lucky because my hobby is my profession. Picking up a camera gives me an opportunity to capture a specific vision to share with others. Ultimately, a well captured image represents a moment in time that is expressed infinitely, and that’s enough of a reason for me to hang a camera around my shoulders wherever I go. I always shoot in RAW and in manual mode. All of my post-processing is done in both Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop. As an artist, the biggest favor I ever did myself was stop comparing my work to that of others, and rather than trying to mimic the editing style of someone else-creating color combinations that combined all my favorite things into one custom look. A mixture of rich, hazy, matte and muted. Life is really busy, but I enjoy the outdoors and hanging out with family and friends in my free time. That’s all about me telling you. The main inspiration for starting my own business is my entrepreneurial spirit. There are also successful people whom I admired in my lifetime.
So why would you choose me over all the other photographers out there? I am a professional, trained, full time photographer Nationwide. I am fully insured and I pride myself on my capturing of light. Natural light is my passion. However, we do live in Virginia so I'm used to be faced with some of our weather conditions where I will use flash when required. To quote one of my clients, 'Steve has the technical ability to make a storm look like a lovely day!'. I have back up photography equipment (and back up of the back up!) and I also have a circle of colleagues who I trust to stand in for me if I am ill. Although being ill has only happened once in 15 years, it is always good to have a back up.
We all have been vaccinated and wear masks if needed.
