Picturesque Photography Group

My work has me traveling a lot, so I keep my studio mobile; packed neatly in my truck. I can support my customers where it is most convenient for them. If you need studio photography done, and do not wish to travel, I can meet you in the comfort of your home and have the equipment set up and then packed up in minutes after the photoshoot. If you would like me to meet you at an outdoor location or a specific venue, I’d be happy to support your project wherever you need. Regardless of the “where”, you can count on excellent photography at your convenience.

What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?

An understanding of light and composition are crucial, but also the ability to engage with the client in a way that creates a comfortable atmosphere for a more natural feel in the photos.

What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?

Do you want any editing done?

If so, what kind of effect are you after (I.e. “Warmer”, “Cooler”, higher contrast to draw focus to wardrobe)?

What is your budget?

What/who specifically do you need to be photographed? (E.g. Family photoshoot at a new house? What relatives, what rooms, what events?)

Do you want prints and/or digital?

What do you love most about your job?

Creating quality photographs that make people truly happy.

What inspired you to start your own business?

My background is in supporting/operating optical systems in medical tech, and I am very good at it. I wanted to spend more time outside the OR sharing these skills with people through a different kind of camera and lens. The principles are the same, but being able to get outside more is very important. An operating room with a window is a rare thing, hours in what is essentially a bunker can become tedious; despite the work that is being done inside.

Why should our clients choose you?

My attention to details behind the lens came from the crucial and time sensitive nature of the surgeries I supported. For years, surgeons depended on me to help maintain their visualization during surgery, take photos and videoclips for publishing, teaching, and presenting at conferences, and help them when things went wrong. I became an excellent resource for my customers and apply those same skills to the photography I do here.

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.

After the photos are taken, I can provide them online/remotely.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?

I am vaccinated and can take excellent photos with comfortable spacing between my lens and my customers. I am happy to wear a mask if it would make my customers feel more comfortable.

I am always open to hearing people’s concerns about these sorts of precautions and working with them on their terms to maintain a sense of comfort and safety.
