My son takes swimming classes here. Instructors are amazing... my son is now at level 5. We are not members so we do pay the non memeber fee but for the price and instruction provided by UAB it far superceeds any other program in Birmingham.

Great place to workout. Courteous staff, lots of equipment. Clean pool area. Lots of machines, a running track, climbing wall, basketball courts, billiards, and raquet ball are some possibilities here. Students are automatically members here, employees and public can enroll and utilize the facilities also.I only wish It was open 24 hrs as against until 9pm daily. More...

Pretty good environment for a campus gym. Lots of different opportunities from the rock wall to the pool. Trips available for students to go out adventuring and rentals available. Gets busy during peak times but usually more than enough machines and space for everyone to work out. More...

Very nice recreation center. The staff here is very nice. Usually has not been very crowded when I have been by for a visit. There is a pool, racket ball courts, hand ball courts, 4 full size basketball courts and so much more including of course a full service workout facility. More...

The equipment is pretty standard for a college gym. There's a pool and plenty of things to do! I'm especially eating it so high because there are always events to sign up for here, most of which are free.
