Reeminikin Illustration

East Sussex

Hey there! I'm Reem -- an illustrator and pattern designer located in the quirky little town of Hastings. I started illustrating in 2013 and ever since then I've fallen in love with creating beautiful work to inspire others and sometimes even myself. Between studying and working part time jobs, I was always drawing, imagining and dreaming of creating a little studio of my own. In 2018, I founded Reeminikin Illustration. The home of my colourful mind and squiggly thoughts. I work straight from my little studio flat, with my coffee in one hand and pencil in the other, I surround myself with my Wacom, sketchbooks, watercolour and coloured pencils. I also work digitally, using Photoshop and Illustrator as my right hand women. I mostly work independently using self-motivated projects, but have worked here and there with a few friendly clients to help design their logos and create illustrated advertisements for their products. I think it's time for me to go out into the world to work for you! So, I am finally here just for that. I hope I can be helpful in creating on paper and bringing your ideas to life. Services include: Logo Design Illustrative Poster Design Illustrative Advertisement Pattern Designer

What do you love most about your job?

I enjoy working straight from the comfort of my own home and making beautiful meaningful art that speaks to people worldwide. I don't think I just draw lines. With every stroke and every choice of color, I tell a story and give meaning to the picture. I love how I get to work with someone I've never met or someone I barely know, using their grand ideas and creating an illustration with a part of me in it. It's so magical.

It’s perfectly possible to design your own logo if you choose to. To design your own logo, you’ll need to use a graphic design programme such as Adobe Illustrator or Canva. However, many business owners decide to outsource their logo design to a graphic designer. A graphic designer will design your logo professionally, ensuring that the design is consistent with your brand. They are the experts, after all.

A business doesn’t necessarily need a logo, but it can be important for your brand. You’ll need to think about what your advertising goals are and what type of marketing materials you plan to produce. Whether or not to have a logo is a personal choice, but it does offer many benefits, such as improving brand recognition. For example, if you own a product-based business, you may want to print your logo on your packaging to enable your customers to easily identify your brand.

Your logo is often the first way that a customer recognises your brand. Think of brands such as McDonalds or Apple. You don’t need to see the company name to know who you’re dealing with because the logos stick in your mind. Your logo should communicate your brand to your customer quickly and effectively.
