What inspired you to start your own business?

More and more people now prefer to be cared for in their own homes. We wanted to set up a service that would make that possible for the people in Tyne and Wear. It is a known fact that people's health outcomes are better when they are in familiar surroundings and surrounded by their loved ones. ProAce Healthcare is dedicated to working in partnership with the service user and their significant others to achieve the best outcome for the service user.

We are passionate about what we do and genuinely care about the wellbeing of our service users. Our staff are trained to the highest level. The Registered Manager and the Operations Manager both have extensive experience in nursing and care and act as role models to their staff. We believe in being honest and transparent and within our organisation there is a culture of owning up if something goes wrong, apologising and learning from the experience.
We put the service user at the centre of their care and would never impose our own personal views and opinion on our clients.
Our Service users matter to us and we will do all we can to ensure that they are treated with dignity and respect.

With the nature of our service, we do not provide our services remotely. We provide personal care in people's own homes. We go out to people's homes and assist our service users with personal care, meal preparation, assistance with medication, helping people to get in and out of bed, shopping and basic tidying up.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?

We are more vigilant with infection prevention and control. All our staff have had their infection control mandatory training. We always have adequate PPE in stock
