Went for the mixed roast. Could not tell the difference between the lamb and the beef. Pork is pork not to hard to ruin but they did. Service was lovely and atmosphere was great. I visited the Stag with friends for lunch. Although the owner was very friendly, the service was slow, we had to ask 3 times for a jug of water and there were only 3 tables in use at the time. My dish in particular (seafood linguine) was overpriced, the portion size extremely small and served luke warm. There was no fresh Parmesan available for the pasta but the dust like cheese that comes in a plastic tub. With the rise in the cost of living and eating out being an occasional treat, this experience was very disappointing. More...
