Very nice place to eat. During the winter months they have a real fire going, comfy and cosy. But this is a popular place so if you are looking to dine here perhaps booking would be a good idea. A very short walk from the pub, you can watch the river Thames flow by. More...

Love the service; everyone is super hospitable. We came here on a recommendation from a British who studied in the US. Thus, he quickly dispelled perception of English food. To our delight, we enjoyed everything which were well seasoned and beautifully presented. More...

This place is fabulous. The food is pretty good but the best is to sit outside and enjoy the surroundings. Cross that the best is the sticky toffee pudding.

Huge dog-friendly garden, but not to it's detriment - it didn't feel "too big". Quite posh and pricey. Didn't eat, but I'm sure the food is great as it seems to be their focus. Lots of kids running around, so apparently child-friendly too. More...

Attended the Perch recently with my partner and it was without a doubt one of the best dining experiences I've had. The service was unbeatable, the presentation and decor of the restaurant was superb and the food was delicious. The whole place was immaculate and the attention to detail just made the whole experience feel more luxurious. As a vegan, I greatly appreciated having a separate menu and the starter and main I ordered were both fantastic, the dessert had a little too much vegan cream for my taste, but otherwise I cannot fault the experience at all. I thoroughly and whole-heartedly recommend! More...

Great place for lunch on a long tripHeading south we were looking for somewhere for lunch off the A34. The Perch came up as close by and while a little bit of a diversion was well worth it. The choice of good and drink was excellent and well priced. Plenty of different seating areas inside and out. We choose the well shaded terrace. Service was attentive and very helpful. The quality of the good was excellent with well sized portions. We only managed a single starter and a main course. We did not have much chance to try the drinks but had a small sample of the real ale, which was faultless. We followed up with a stroll along the Thames, which is down a path from the restaurant.A world away from a motorway services. Lovely setting on the Thames s. of Godstow. Tricky to get to but well worth it. When busy you have a 300 metre walk from the overflow car park. Food gorgeous and outdoor food barn is so easy if you have kids or dogs. More...

A great place perfectly located by the river and Port Meadow. Always busy, particularly in the garden on a sunny day. A nice relaxed feel with restaurant food or bar food, depending on your mood. My daughter does say, though, that the one tiny scoop of ice cream is a bit measly. I have to agree, the ice cream servings are the smallest I have ever seen. However, the outdoor space is really nice and dogs are welcome, even wet ones! A good place for casual visits, parties, weddings etc the balance is about right. Binsey Village is also a good place to explore and The Perch is a fully signed up and popular member of the village. In Sept we have the incredible village fete and if you carry on down the lane for about a mile you come to Binsey Church which is the most amazing little church. More...
