What do you love most about your job?
For me I love coaching people, helping them develop and achieve their goals. I believe it is not just about winning races, though working to achieve individual goals and personally develop.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I wanted to have more opportunities to help people develop their abilities, wanting to improve two areas I think are too frequently got wrong:
First of all swimming is often the neglected discipline of triathlon as it is seen to make up such a small part of the race, no matter what distance you are racing. With some in the sport assuming triathletes can't be good swimmers. I disagree with this and my coaching focuses on making sure my athletes are strong and confident in the water.
Second, many triathletes over-train and spend too much of their time training ineffectively. I focus on organising the training intensity distribution to maximise adaptions without significantly increasing injury risk.

Part of my coaching philosophy is being individualised and athlete centred. I can promise you will get fully personalised training plans, no generic one size fits all, that are adaptable to your requirements. With the aim of helping empower you to make your own decisions and understand the training plan put forward. I view any coaching I do to be a partnership, not a dictatorship.
Unlike others my focus is not on the quantity I can get from each customer, instead on making sure that every customer has the highest quality service I can offer. With feedback from those I coach frequently commenting on the effort I put into helping them.
