Formed in 2019 and featuring a fantastic line up of 7 experienced musicians – Soul Occupants are a soul, funk and disco covers band based in Essex, UK. We will ensure any party, wedding or function goes down a storm with a steady stream of classic soul, funk and disco songs from across the decades that will keep the dance floor full throughout the event.

What an amazing band! We booked them for our wedding day. We have had so much great feedback from all our guests at how fantastic this band was. Most guests were from the entertainment industry and we’re very impressed by the sound. We wanted an old song for our first dance and although it wasn’t on the bands list of songs, they learnt and sang it especially. Despite the fact that the song had harps and flutes the band replicated it perfectly and it sounded beautiful, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house. The guests danced their socks off from when the band started to when it finished! What a fantastic group, great set list and professional act. 11/10 More...

On a recommendation from a good friend , I booked The Band Soul Occupants for my 50th birthday party in Chelmsford. I must say from the point of contact with Jez everything seemed so simple. They kept in contact on a regular basis leading up to the event and I was filled with confidence . My party was a Peaky Blinders theme but due to my age I wanted a good variety of songs etc , I was not disappointed . The female lead singer blew us away with her strong vocals and the band were in true harmony all evening. The last hour of my celebration the roof was truly lifted and 130 guests were all on the dance floor and the band quite deservedly received 3 encores . Thank you guys cannot say thank you enough .
