DEPRESSION ANXIETY AND FIBROMYALGIA
When I first started with Anthony I was in bad shape, I suffered from fibromyalgia , depression and anxiety and was at an all time low, I was in complete fight or flight mode and had given up.
Immediately Anthony made me feel at ease and I felt comfortable opening up to him. We started with TRE (trauma and tension releasing exercise) which really helped me, its releases any tension and a lot of trauma you’re carrying. He also showed me how to do it myself and I now have the confidence to do it at home. We have done Bowen therapy, Biofield tuning and EMDR which brought up passed traumas I didn’t even realise I was carrying around with me, things like childhood trauma relationship trauma etc. He taught me how to face traumas and how to release them so I was no longer carrying them around with me. He did meditation called safe space which is amazing, I used to listen to it everyday and I can honestly say 100% it works., I still listen to it now and again when I need a boost.
Im confident again now and have got my power back, I’m a completely different person, I have worked through my personal issues, I have confidence moving forward now. My fibromyalgia is under control and I have started at the gym which I never thought would happen. I’m also coming off all my medication which is amazing. I can’t thank Anthony enough for giving me my future back.

I originally went to see Anthony for physical therapy, and whilst there I had mentioned my debilitating health anxiety I had suffered with since having my son 4 years ago. He mentioned how hypnosis could help me and I decided to give it go.

Anthony explained in great detail to me how the brain works, helping me understand why I was overwhelmed with these obsessive feelings. He explained that I needed restful sleep in order to process the stresses in my life to clear them from causing this anxiousness and that the hypnosis would aid this.

We started the hypnosis which massively improved how I handled situations. Anthony also suggested we try EMDR to work through and clear the stress from some memories that may have caused trauma. The combination of the two therapies really worked wonders.

I always felt comfortable and relaxed with Anthony, and trusted his wide array of knowledge, qualifications and experience would help to get me in a better place mentally, he exceeded my expectations and I now can enjoy a more relaxed happy lifestyle with my family.

I will be forever grateful to Anthony for all his help in getting my life back on track and would highly and strongly recommend him to anyone struggling with anxiety.

Best Thing i ever did for myself!! 100% recommend Ant. Genuine Guy .. nothing too much trouble..

28 August 2022

I’ve been to this company on a number of occasions, firstly to help with sports injuries, with Anthony using a wide range of expertise to help put me in a position to compete again. Fast effective and most importantly lasting results.

More recently I’ve been to see Anthony with regards to an issue I’ve had around anxiety/sleep deprivation. Anthony completed a series of hypnotherapy techniques on me which were simply mind blowing (massively sceptical in advance - but willing to try anything).

Life changing results, highly recommended to anyone. If you have symptoms and a solution is within Anthony’s skills set I’d 100% advise you to give him a try.

I saw Anthony in December.
Before that first session I had spent most of my life feeling anxious, depressed, drained, angry and probably not much fun to be around. Usually smiling outwardly but not inside.
Anti depressants didn't work and I felt that the councillors I saw needed more help than I did.
After four sessions with Ant, I'm now feeling, calm, relaxed, happier and looking forward to feeling this way as the norm.
I can't thank Anthony enough.

Q&As

What I love most about my job is making a difference to peoples lives, to see the positive change in people I work with gives me great satisfaction.

I've worked for myself for 22 years now , I work for myself as I like to be in charge of my own destiny without the constraints of working for a large business with someone else's idea's impacting my creative process.
I started my journey into mental health after I had an incident that left me with PTSD , this began my journey into healing emotional trauma and the ailments of the mind and their link to ailments of the body. This gives me great satisfaction being able to help people just as I was helped in my time of need.

My multi disciplined approach to treating clients gives me versatility in treating a particular issue and getting people better faster in than a single approach.

Yes i can provide services online. So once a client makes contact with me we can set up a consultation via zoom where we can discuss their particular issue, what we can do about it and if the client is happy to work with me we will set up a treatment plan from there.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a psychotherapy that enables people to heal from the symptoms and emotional distress that are the result of disturbing life experiences. Repeated studies show that by using EMDR therapy people can experience the benefits of psychotherapy that once took years to make a difference. It is widely assumed that severe emotional pain requires a long time to heal. EMDR therapy shows that the mind can in fact heal from psychological trauma much as the body recovers from physical trauma. When you cut your hand, your body works to close the wound. If a foreign object or repeated injury irritates the wound, it festers and causes pain. Once the block is removed, healing resumes. EMDR therapy demonstrates that a similar sequence of events occurs with mental processes. The brain’s information processing system naturally moves toward mental health. If the system is blocked or imbalanced by the impact of a disturbing event, the emotional wound festers and can cause intense suffering. Once the block is removed, healing resumes. Using the detailed protocols and procedures learned in EMDR therapy training sessions, clinicians help clients activate their natural healing processes.

More than 30 positive controlled outcome studies have been done on EMDR therapy. Some of the studies show that 84%-90% of single-trauma victims no longer have post-traumatic stress disorder after only three 90-minute sessions. Another study, funded by the HMO Kaiser Permanente, found that 100% of the single-trauma victims and 77% of multiple trauma victims no longer were diagnosed with PTSD after only six 50-minute sessions. In another study, 77% of combat veterans were free of PTSD in 12 sessions. There has been so much research on EMDR therapy that it is now recognized as an effective form of treatment for trauma and other disturbing experiences by organizations such as the American Psychiatric Association, the World Health Organization and the Department of Defense. Given the worldwide recognition as an effective treatment of trauma, you can easily see how EMDR therapy would be effective in treating the “everyday” memories that are the reason people have low self-esteem, feelings of powerlessness, and all the myriad problems that bring them in for therapy. Over 100,000 clinicians throughout the world use the therapy. Millions of people have been treated successfully over the past 25 years.

EMDR therapy is an eight-phase treatment. Eye movements (or other bilateral stimulation) are used during one part of the session. After the clinician has determined which memory to target first, he asks the client to hold different aspects of that event or thought in mind and to use his eyes to track the therapist’s hand as it moves back and forth across the client’s field of vision. As this happens, for reasons believed by a Harvard researcher to be connected with the biological mechanisms involved in Rapid Eye Movement (REM) sleep, internal associations arise and the clients begin to process the memory and disturbing feelings. In successful EMDR therapy, the meaning of painful events is transformed on an emotional level. For instance, a rape victim shifts from feeling horror and self-disgust to holding the firm belief that, “I survived it and I am strong.” Unlike talk therapy, the insights clients gain in EMDR therapy result not so much from clinician interpretation, but from the client’s own accelerated intellectual and emotional processes. The net effect is that clients conclude EMDR therapy feeling empowered by the very experiences that once debased them. Their wounds have not just closed, they have transformed. As a natural outcome of the EMDR therapeutic process, the clients’ thoughts, feelings and behaviour are all robust indicators of emotional health and resolution—all without speaking in detail or doing homework used in other therapies.

It’s not a new movie with Keanu Reeves and we won’t ask you to take a blue or red pill.

Simply put, Matrix Reimprinting is a technique that connects people with their past traumas and core beliefs and elegantly enables them to transform them into supportive platforms for their lives.

Whereas EFT is like watching a movie, matrix reimprinting is like being in a play.

Why do belief systems and our past traumas matter? The power of our belief systems is undoubtable. Our beliefs shape our thoughts, provide fuel for our emotional reactions and shape our reality. If we can change our beliefs, well, we can change anything!

Think about the placebo effect in science. The power of a ‘fake’ sugar pill has been proved thousands of times. It is our belief in the placebo that enables us to heal ourselves.

What do you believe about yourself? Do you believe you are good looking? Healthy? Weak? Is the world a safe or dangerous place? Our beliefs are the glasses of which we view life through. We have thousands of them which we hold in our subconscious mind. Many will be supportive, but we will also have formed beliefs from past events in our lives that can create a whole host of problems.

Meet Sarah who desperately wants a new romantic relationship in her life. She is doing daily affirmations, reading all the self-help books she can get her hands on and is taking inspired action such as joining dating sites, and going on blind dates.

Yet she never seems to meet Mr Right. Why?

In her subconscious mind there are a whole host of beliefs about men and relationships: It’s not safe to be loved, they will hurt me again, I’m not good enough to be loved for who I am, they will leave just like Dad.

Sarah formed these beliefs from past learning experiences and traumas and because they are held in her subconscious mind they are running in the background of all the decisions she makes.

What is the subconscious mind?

You have two minds. The conscious mind is the one that is conscious of itself, the one we make our New Year goals with, it holds our wishes and desires, it’s creative and not time-dependent.

The subconscious on the other hand contains all the programmes of everything you’ve ever learnt; from brushing your teeth, walking, making a phone call to the programmes of whether it feels safe to be in a romantic relationship, or if a certain animal has a reaction attached to it (phobia). Will power alone does not change these programmes and beliefs. A traumatic event is live in the subconscious.

Science now proves that our subconscious mind is 95% more powerful than the conscious mind.

Matrix Reimprinting is a bridge between the two minds and has helped thousands of people find the root causes of old patterns and beliefs by reimprinting events that are stored in their subconscious.

What exactly is reimprinting?

The word reimprint comes from the psychological term ‘imprinting’ which is when a child imprints a situation or learning into their memory which then goes on to create a belief.

I’m sure you can think of a time when you imprinted something into your mind…an argument, a special trip, a moment of clarity as a child.

You can reimprint past events and beliefs so that they no longer cause a current day reaction.

Like Sarah who was so desperate for a romantic relationship, yet when she worked with her practitioner in the Matrix and connected with her younger self (her ECHO) she discovered that she was incredibly sad after her father leaving when she was six.

Sarah communicated with her ECHO and released the trauma from the event using the energy technique, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) and was able to help her feel loved, complete with the knowledge that none of it was her fault. In effect, she reimprinted that memory.

After coming out of the Matrix, Sarah realised she had been holding on to all that pain for most of her life and created a belief that any man who she loved would leave. Sarah was able to connect the dots and past events to her current life situation.

From this point Sarah was now conscious of that subconscious programme and could see it in action. She also took time to reimprint past resentments and hurts so that she felt truly ready to meet Mr Right – and she did, only 3 months after that session and is now happily married with her soulmate.

Why reimprint? How is this going to help me today?

Think of your subconscious mind like Google. When you are reminded of a past event or a belief system is prevalent it is due to the past events that are stored there. It’s long been known that we form beliefs and patterns through past traumas. This is nothing new in the world of psychotherapy; that we are a product of our past learnings and the events we have lived through.

If you want to rewire a certain behaviour or belief then by changing the pictures and what your Google mind brings up in a search, you will have a different reaction in the current day.

But you still haven’t explained the Matrix?

Let’s break it down. In 1950, Max Planck the Grandfather of Quantum Theory and Einstein’s predecessor announced that there is an invisible matrix of energy that connects us all. We already know that matter is not solid but everything is made from vibrating atoms, but Planck took it one step further and informed the world that we are, all connected.

Fast forward 60 years and you’ll hear this message of connection and oneness across the globe.

All layers or fields of the Matrix interconnect with each other. You have your personal matrix which holds all the information about you, this then stretches out into the family, the cultural and the universal.

Think about your legs. In the universal human field there is the information about how legs are made, how they work, which muscles are needed for walking and running – this is the same across the world.

Then move this idea into the cultural, what does your culture say about a women or man’s legs? How are they viewed sexually?

Then into the family fields, where there may be some beliefs about ‘strong’ or ‘good’ legs in the family.

Finally down to the personal. Are they any beliefs or events you have about your legs? What if you’d had a car accident and had some scarrring on one or there is a history of knee replacements in your family…how would you feel about your legs then?

These layers of information are held in the different layers of the matrix and when we get to the personal, we can see that the memories we hold are stored in our subconscious mind.

We’ve discussed how our memories are stored in our subconscious mind, but where is our subconscious mind stored? We believe that your subconscious mind isn’t kept in your brain, it is outside of your physical body, it’s part of your personal field and therefore is part of each layer above it, reaching out to the universal matrix, which connects us all.

Your subconscious mind is part of the matrix

When you work in the matrix, you are working in your subconscious. And remember that it is connected to everyone else’s subconscious too. You are working in the field. It is a different dimension.

It holds all selves, past, present and future selves – they are waiting there for you to come and help them. Just like that little ECHO of Sarah who was feeling all the pain from her father leaving, with matrix reimprinting you are able to go in and help that younger part of yourself and free them from the pain and trauma they are stuck in. Remember the subconscious mind is not time dependent so it is running like a current event – no wonder it can trigger us in the current day.

How does reimprinting old traumas and beliefs in the matrix change my life now?

You know you are an energy system and therefore you will be giving off a vibration. This can be a vibration of joy, love, abundance or perhaps more like fear, powerlessness or even boredom. Your vibration is what you are emitting to the universe and just like a magnet this is what you will be attracting back into your reality. This is the law of attraction.

Over the last decade there have been a plethora of self-help books and gurus stepping forward and claiming that they can show you how to truly invoke the Law of Attraction, but you are the only person who can do this. How? You must find out what is in your vibrational frequency, your belief system to see what you are attracting, and to do this, you need to find out what is in your database of stored programmes and beliefs, these emotional memories in your uber powerful mind – the subconscious.

Matrix Reimprinting finds those beliefs and elegantly evolves them to create a platform in your life. The only similarity between the Keanu Reeve’s Matrix and Matrix Reimprinting is that once you’ve woken up to it, there is no going back.

As well as offering 1-2-1 Mindfulness sessions as a graduate of the UK College of Meditation and Mindfulness Now, I’m pleased to be able to offer the 8 week Mindfulness Now Programme to groups and also interested individuals.

Nick Cooke creator of UK College Mindful Meditation- developed the Mindfulness Now programme after his own experience of using mindfulness to help him with his recovery and rehabilitation, including management of pain, following two serious illnesses. He already had considerable experience of learning and practicing mindfulness and, as a therapist, it’s something which for many years he has taught clients to practice.

The Mindfulness Now 8 week course offers a fusion of mindfulness-based approaches, including the evidence-based Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT).

MBCT developed in early 1990’s by Professor Mark Williams and colleagues at the University of Oxford, offers a breakthrough in the treatment of depression, anxiety and emotional trauma, and is recommended by NICE as a treatment of choice for depression. In 1979 Dr Jon Kabat-Zinn and colleagues at the University of Massachusetts Medical Centre – Stress Reduction Clinic developed a psycho-educational program called Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) which provides an integration of mindfulness meditation with proven psychotherapeutic approaches into an accessible and evidence-based approach which has been taught worldwide.

In combining elements from both the MBSR and MBCT program this course is a combination of guided meditations, reflective discussion on the attitudes of mindfulness as well as offering readings of Mindful poems and stories. There will also be a class of gentle Mindful Movement to further explore mindful awareness.

This course is for all levels, those with no prior knowledge of Mindfulness, those who have attended classes or those who have had many years of meditation experience.

Biofield tuning is a unique therapy for treating past trauma’s using sound and hence release stress from the body and mind. Like most trauma therapy biofield involves working through past traumas and processing them.

What is trauma? Trauma is emotional event that as overwhelmed you to the point that you can’t process the event, it can be a single highly stressful event or prolonged stress. This leaves the nervous system in a heightened state, affecting people on many levels physically, emotionally and mentally. As with EMDR and EFT matrix the event is revisited, unlike the other 2 though you don’t have to work through it mentally. The human biofield is now recognised in science as actually existing, it is a subtle magnetic field that surrounds the body and like all magnetic field is torus shaped. every cell in your body is electrically charged and the brain and heart have a strong charge hence ECG and EEG. You can’t have electricity without magnetism, and so we have this very subtle magnetic field that used to be called the aura. Science as shown that when we go through stress and trauma we lose bio photons from the body which get stuck in the biofield at the age of the trauma. In psychotherapy it is believed when we go through trauma part of us breaks off and is still reliving that trauma, which seems to fit with this model.

How the biofield works is the practitioner finds the trauma spot in the field using a tuning fork and staying with that spot it plays the trauma back to the person vibrationally much like a needle on a record , so the body and mind can then process the event and its no longer affecting the body and mind in a negative way. De-fragmenting the fragmented self leading to a more relaxed happy individual . The beauty of this method also is its impossible to re-traumatise people so as well as being highly effective its also very safe.

Solution Focused Hypnotherapy is a type of ‘talking therapy’, that combines the use of psychotherapy with hypnosis. Hypnosis or ‘trance’ is a very natural, relaxing state, encouraged by using guided relaxation, where the mind can relax and then focus on thoughts and suggestions that might be useful. As a modern psychotherapeutic approach, Solution Focused Hypnotherapy uses practical, structured, and well-researched strategies to help people make significant, positive changes in their lives in a relatively short period of time. Crucially, in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy, therapists look at what the client wants to achieve (the solution) rather than at whatever prompted them to seek help (the problem)

Hypnosis or trance describes times when we experience a shift in our conscious awareness. Trance used during hypnotherapy is very different from the kind of things we might see in ‘stage hypnosis’.

In our day to day lives, we all naturally go in and out of trance states many times during the day – perhaps when we are driving, reading a good book or even washing the dishes. In this relaxed state, we experience changes in our conscious awareness – almost like being in a daydream. During this time, the unconscious mind is more aware and can focus on helpful suggestions and thoughts.

Trance is a very natural and safe state. Contrary to what you might see on the television, trance is not mind-control! When we are in a trance state we are still in control, and we process and decide whether information or suggestions are useful to us or not and will not accept or do anything against our will.

Being in a trance is a very relaxing experience – and it is something that all of us will frequently experience in our daily lives. In fact, experiencing changes in our conscious awareness is a vital part of our existence as humans – we need times where we can relax, reflect, and consolidate information, and utilise different parts of our brains for different activities.

From a scientific perspective, changes in conscious awareness can be demonstrated using Electroencephalography or EEG, which is a method of recording electrical energy in the brain. Our brain wave activity changes all the time, particularly as we enter different phases of when we go to sleep. When your therapist uses guided relaxation and mental imagery, it can encourage you to go into a trance state, which causes a natural shift in our brainwave patterns. This means that we might shift from being in a fully alert mental state (like when we’re busy working during the day that increases beta brain wave activity) into other states. As we are guided into deeper levels of relaxation, the brain demonstrates more alpha and theta wave activity, where we feel calmer and more relaxed but can also visualise images and reflect on different ideas that may be useful to us.

This is why Solution Focused Hypnotherapy can be so beneficial, because it combines powerful solution-focused discussions, followed by encouraging a relaxing trance state so that the ideas and solutions discussed can then be explored and utilised by the brain for positive benefit.

At its heart, Solution Focused Hypnotherapy focuses on the present and the future and not on the past. A Solution Focused Hypnotherapist will ask clients to consider their preferred future, for instance asking solution-orientated questions such as: “What would be better if the problem had improved?” or “What would have changed?”. This enables the client’s possible solutions to become more obvious and gives the client a goal to work towards.

Hypnosis itself reduces anxiety, and this is done very simply through relaxation and visualisation, allowing the client to focus on the positive aspects of their life that encourages a shift in perspective.

Through working with the client in a collaborative way, Solution Focused Hypnotherapists can also help individuals experiencing confidence and self-esteem issues. It can also help in addressing symptoms of stress, low mood, anxiety (including panic attacks), and in helping people to cope better with physical issues such as Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) and certain chronic pain conditions. Specific phobias such as fear of spiders, water, flying, and public speaking can also be minimised, along with painful memories and traumatic experiences.

Unlike other forms of Hypnotherapy, Solution Focused Hypnotherapy uses a specific structure, which incorporates several aspects of Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) and combines these with an understanding of how the brain works, in combination with using trance. Solution Focused Hypnotherapy is also different because it doesn’t require the therapist to ‘dig into’ a person’s past, as this is not deemed necessary to help the person formulate plans and best hopes for how they want to move forward in their lives in the future.

EFT – Emotional Freedom Techniques is a relatively new discovery and a fast-evolving treatment within the field of Energy Psychology which is catching the attention of healers, scientists, spiritualists and lay people.

Often referred to as “Psychological acupressure”, the technique works by releasing blockages within the energy system which are the source of emotional intensity and discomfort. These blockages in our energy system, in addition to challenging us emotionally, often lead to limiting beliefs and behaviours and an inability to live life harmoniously. Resulting symptoms are either emotional and/ or physical and include lack of confidence and self esteem, feeling stuck anxious or depressed, or the emergence of compulsive and addictive behaviours. It is also now finally widely accepted that emotional disharmony is a key factor in physical symptoms and dis-ease and for this reason these techniques are being extensively used on physical issues, including chronic illness with often astounding results. As such these techniques are being accepted more and more in medical and psychiatric circles as well as in the range of psychotherapies and healing disciplines.

An EFT treatment involves the use of fingertips rather than needles to tap on the end points of energy meridians that are situated just beneath the surface of the skin. The treatment is non-invasive and works on the ethos of making change as simple and as pain free as possible.

EFT is a common sense approach that draws its power from Eastern discoveries that have been around for over 5,000 years. In fact Albert Einstein also told us back in the 1920’s that everything (including our bodies) is composed of energy. These ideas have been largely ignored by Western Healing Practices and as they are unveiled in our current times, human process is reopening itself to the forgotten truth that everything is Energy and the potential that this offers us.

In the short time since it’s inception by Gary Craig in the 1990’s, EFT has provided thousands of people with relief from all manner of problems and conditions, often in startlingly quick time and after long and painful periods of searching for a cure. The diversity of successful treatments have ranged from trauma and abuse, phobias, self sabotaging behaviour patterns, to deep set emotional conditions of anxiety and depression, addictions, physical illness, to name but a few.

EFT is drawing attention from the broad spectrum of healing professionals; from the scientists to the spiritualists and everyone in between. It is at the heart of the rejoining of the old and new paradigms.

EFT restores awareness and trust in the natural healing abilities of our mind and body, providing ground-breaking opportunities to achieving physical and emotional well-being in a faster time frame.

Because the techniques are so simple, they can be used effectively as a self-help tool, which empowers people to actively contribute to their own healing and development process. This facilitates a much faster relief process, previously believed impossible by healthcare professionals who advocated lengthy (& often painful) hours in psychotherapeutic or medical care, often with limited results. These techniques do not discredit the medical and psychotherapeutic professions, but rather serve to contribute to a holistic healing process.

How does EFT work?
Working on it’s discovery statement that:

“Our negative emotions are caused by a disruption in the body’s energy system”

EFT works to clear such disruptions and eliminate the resulting emotional response or intensity to restore emotional harmony and offer relief from physical discomfort.

This is done by focusing on the specific problem whilst tapping with fingers on the end points of energy meridians. The combination of sending kinetic energy to our energy system, whilst uncovering and focusing on root causes, facilitates a “straightening out” of the energy system thereby eliminating the “short circuit” to the body’s learnt response or negative emotion.

Please familiarise yourself with the EFT tapping points used during a treatment.

Why choose this form of therapy?
It is a positive, proactive experience
Often works where nothing else seems to
Usually rapid, long lasting relief from symptoms
Can be self applied (some cases are more complex, however, and may require more detailed attention from an experienced EFT Practitioner)
No drugs or equipment needed
