Locals Talk has delivered some very complex integrations for our Vodkaluge business and they continue to play a key role in the evolution of our Icebox business as well. We always keep an active bucket of hours with them so we can always lean on them in times of need. We also rely on them for their advice on brand and marketing strategy given limited budgets, which is always sound and practical. I'm very happy with the design and functionality of our new website which was delivered by the same team at Locals Talk that we contract to manage our online presence in terms of digital marketing. They constantly make suggestions to improve conversions on our website, which has contributed to us growing 20% in the past year, and they also deliver in terms of SEO for which we pay them a monthly retainer. Our organic ranks keep getting better and we are happy with their blogger outreach that has all but improved our visibility in Google search. The aesthetic element is extremely important, as is the user-interface and functionality - your website visitors should be able to accomplish what they've set out to do in the minimum number of steps. However, we think of these things as the bare minimum for any website. To make a great website, it needs to follow an overarching content strategy aligned with the business to ensure its discoverability (in terms of SEO) is high. On that note, website content is just as important to make website great, which is why we consult with our clients to help them ensure high-quality and unique content that will make their website not just stand out, but also rank well on Google.

Typically, we want to know your budget, any platforms you prefer and the underlying reasoning for this preference, what the purpose for the website is - whether you're looking to get leads through it or if you will be selling items (ecommerce), and what are your top 3 favourite websites we can look towards for inspiration.

While I love having happy clients, what I love most is when I can deliver great value to my clients without them expecting it. This could be a tricky website within their budget, or getting a website page to the first position for a high-value keyword that sends a lot of traffic (and hence new business) to my client. Or it could be an ad campaign that delivers a high conversion rate while keeping cost per acquisition low. Sometimes, what excites me most is a blogger outreach campaign that delivers good results in terms of earned media mentions. To look at it another way, I love measuring data, and these analytics drive me to keep doing better than what my clients expect of me.

My old agency got dissolved because of a spat between directors who weren't managing finances well, not keeping clients happy, and didn't pay freelancers on time. However, the clients I worked with loved me, wanted to continue working with me, and told their friends about my work, which is how Locals Talk came to be.

We don't waste money on useless shenanigans like dedicated account managers. We follow the lean startup method to manage our business which means we are always looking to maximise the value you get from your marketing spend. Every one of our clients has their own unique marketing cocktail (sounds better than marketing mix, right?) and it's based on their unique business needs and budget. However, working with us you can expect budgets to grow over time because of the results we deliver. On average, our clients have grown 20% as a business year on year.

We can and for the most part, do work remotely. We have 3 co-working offices in London, Bishops Stortford and Colchester, and sometimes we meet our clients at their premises. But Zoom, Google Meets, Microsoft Teams and Skype - yes even Skype - works for us. We are also able to join our clients' Teams or Slack channels for better day to day coordination, and any project management software that they use, be it Monday, Asana, Basecamp or any other.

We are very fortunate in that we haven't had to make any changes to keep our customers safe. For in-person meetings, where appropriate, we use masks and disinfect ourselves, which is a standard now everywhere around the world. But there's never any risk when we're working remotely.
