We finally bought our own home. When it came to move in date we came to realise that the ceiling had fallen down and more was coming. As you can imagine we was pretty upset, anxious and angry. We was on a tight schedule due to the kids starting there new school in two weeks time. Johnny and his lads came to the rescue and promised to have the work done and dusted in two days. We decided that if one ceiling was coming down we wanted the dining room one also pulling down and replacing. We notice some mould and possible leaks too. So more and more work was added. In total he fixed the roof. Chimney. Added vents ripped down two ceilings and replaced. Plastered stairs hallway and two bedrooms. Took a wall out of the kitchen to create a kitchen diner and patched up the other door. Removed a chimney stack adding space to master bedroom and dining room. Added two floating floors, new front door and decorated in two weeks. Can’t Thankyou them enough for all the help. They was all amazing and professional. Even worked till really late to make sure the job was Finnished . The only thing they need to do is fit our new kitchen in a few weeks and it’s all done. Really can’t Thankyou all enough. How can someone tell if their Garage is suitable for conversion?
An architect will be able to advise you on this, we work along side a good architect that we can put you in contact with if you wish to do so.
Run us through the different stages of the Garage conversion process - what's involved?
Make sure walls and roof are in good order.
The existing floor may need to be leveled, damp roofed and insulated.
in fill the existing garage door to suite existing garage.
Insulate walls and ceiling.
Install any plumbing and electrics
Plaster and decorate.
How can someone tell if their loft is suitable for conversion?
Generally best way to tell is by checking the height from the floor to the highest point if this is 2.2m then usually it is ok for the conversion.
Run us through the different stages in the loft conversion process - what’s involved?
Scaffold erected.
Installation of structural beams.
Construct dormers or install velux roof windows.
Re tile roof as required.
Construct interior walls, doorways and ceilings.
Create new stairway access.
Install electrics and any plumbing.
Insulate all walls and ceilings.
Plasterboard and plaster.
Decorate.
