Choosing the right builder is the most important decision you make whilst undergoing any sort of work on your house. I have worked with Edy on four projects now and I can say hand on heart his work is excellent and his rates are very affordable. Edy and his team can basically do everything, we have done large structural jobs opening up ground floor walls, constructing conservatories, building three kitchens, (he is an excellent carpenter) plastering and decorating. His pricing is always clear, accurate and affordable. Its been great working with him over the years and he has a big network of electricians and plumbers that means he and project manage any type of build. Edy is a all rounder with years of experience and completely upfront and honest about the way he charges. Edy Ungureanu and his assistant, Razvan Vasilche, have performed substantial renovations to my houses, first on Highbury Fields and latterly on Haggerston Road in Hackney. Both men possess a multitude of skills, work extremely hard to create beautiful, spacious and elegant homes. They have also, significantly, saved me thousands of pounds, to rival most building firms, that I know. Both houses have been admired by friends and family with people often amazed that Edy, a brilliant carpenter, created the kitchens himself. I might add that Edy, Razvan and their team have been delightful to work with, always thoroughly professional. Nothing was ever too much trouble.To go into a few more details: Just over four years ago, Edy was recommended to my son, Patrick Wilson, by various colleagues, and over a relatively short period of time – about six months – Edy and his team turned a large, dilapidated house on Highbury Fields, which needed a huge amount of work, into a magnificent family house. They knocked down walls, rewired and re-plumbed old and out of date systems, to create a house which was quite beautiful and a pleasure to live in; they also significantly increased the value of the house. For various personal reasons, I have moved back to Hackney (I am a widow). I like my early Victorian house on Haggerston Road very much but it was marred by a dark, pokey and cold kitchen with a miniscule conservatory, in my basement. Edy and Razvan created a beautiful kitchen/conservatory/living area. Edy himself suggested ways to improve the space, and again he and his team worked hard so that I now have my ‘dream’ kitchen. Quality, trust, efficiency, affordability. The list could go on and on. We were very lucky to find Edy back in 2012 to initially do some plastering work on our house renovations. We quickly discovered he was a master tradesman and we have continued to work with him for the past six years. Edy and his team completely transformed the top floor of our Victorian terrace house. From demolition right through to finished product. The work included: chimney breast removal, structural walls, plaster board and plastering, tiling, bathroom renovations, painting. EdyBuilding completed bathroom works for us in Harringay back in 2012 and it still looks fantastic! He is diligent, hard working and competant. He stuck to his quote, which was very reasonable, and completed on time and within budget.
