Q&As

I motivate you by breaking down your fitness journey into a series of achievable milestones, so that you know you are making progress.
Then we only focus on the NEXT milestone using a realistic plan that fits with the rest of your life and commitments.
Finally I believe in making you self sufficient so that you know how to stay fit and what to do. You shouldn't be dependant upon me!

Knowing why you want it and what it will mean to you once you have it.
If you can picture those reasons really clearly and they mean enough to you... Then you really will make it happen.
Anyone can have the body of their dreams... It just comes down to how much do you want it!

Seeing the pride in people as they achieve things they never thought they could. For some that is losing weight and transforming their body, for others it is crossing the finish line of their first Marathon or even Triathlon. And yet for others it's being able play with their kids in the park... It doesn't matter what your "WHY" is, see the look on your face when you achieve your ambition is my "WHY" I love my job !

Until I was in my late forties I was morbidly obese, not able to walk any great distance and finding clothes that fitted (let alone that I looked good in!!) was becoming harder. I decided I didn't want to be that person anymore... I lost 7 stone in weight over the course of 18 months, discovered that the new lighter me could play sports and started running.

In October 2018 I completed my first Ironman Triathlon (2.5mile swim / 112mile bike / 26.2 mile run).

I met some incredible people on my way to that finish line. And learned so much about what is possible and how to actually "get fit" and "lose weight".

So in 2019 I was inspired to start my business to help others achieve their ambitions... Because I know that if I can do it then you can too.

I am as far removed from the stereotypical Personal Trainer as you can get!!

I am older. I came to sport late. I spent most of my adult life obese and extremely unfit.

In two years and in my late forties I changed my life completely and successfully raced my first Ironman Triathlon.

Yes I have done all of the formal qualifications, as has every PT and Coach on here.

But the reason you should chose me is that I have personally lived through the transformation you are thinking of embarking on, so I really do know where you are and how it feels. Very few PT's and Coaches can say that to you...

Services

Supporting you to improve your fitness and well being, through a combination of exercise and guidance to improve your nutrition.

We would train at a location that is convenient for you (close to home or work, or possibly at your home). I don't train in a gym environment as I find the clients that chose to work with me prefer more privacy.

My area of expertise is around aerobic fitness, toning and using exercise to support weight loss. I am not a body builder and I my style of coaching is not well suited to people that want to grow huge muscles.

From complete beginners through to experienced runners, I offer structured coaching that can will help at both ends of the spectrum.

For the complete beginner we start with learning the basics of running and "how" to run. Along side that we start running and build up gradually to your first 5k run.

For the more experienced runner I coach around developing your running form as well as designing a bespoke training plan to get your read for your next race or event.

Coaching is a lot more than emailing you training plans and exchanging the odd message. I believe that to effectively improve a runners performance you HAVE to see them RUN. You have to LISTEN to what they SAY. You can't coach by simply looking at data... Because runners are people not machines!
