This club has transformed my life. Seriously. The weekly structure is great and you can really improve your running through it. I love the social aspect too. I’ve met many people and made new friends through both running together and the social events. Regular running with the club has also helped me to deal with the stress and challenges life can bring so much better. I highly recommended this club! More...

I first became an online member of the club in April 2019. I chose online membership, as my work commitments, wouldn’t allow me to make it to all the club runs. I had just finished the C25K & wanted to increase my distance, run injury free & have good solid advice from an expert. I couldn’t have chosen a better coach. In my first 6mths of membership, following a programme, Conor adapted for me, I ran my first half marathon. His programmes also got me through 3 marathons in less than a year. Not only, did I increase distance, but my speed and technique was much improved too. He is always on hand for advice. This style of coaching has worked perfectly for me. More...

I found about the club on Facebook and joined it with the intention to find like minded people to start walking with. Within 3 months of joining the club, I joined the running lunch time club. Great bunch of members, still friends with walkers and runners from my 1.5 brilliant time with CRWC. I went onto to do my first 5k, 10k and Half Marathon within my first year of running with customised plan set by coach Conor. Conor helped me through my injuries last year and I went onto do my third Half Marathon. Much recommended club if you are looking to meet your goals as to walking/running and meet like minded people. I joined the Cheltenham running club to become more active and healthy. I started with the C25K program with fellow beginners. Now, 15 months later, I am in a program to help run faster and longer distances. Conor calibrates the programs for me to achieve my personal best while ensuring I am realistic with goals and staying injury free. Members can choose program goals that suit them and also whether they want to run with others or on their own. I would highly recommend due to the flexibility and training quality. More...

Good coaching guidance and support, plus groups for varying abilities makes this club ideal for both the novice and experienced runner. They also have a good array of social events to attend too. Highly recommended. More...

They were the inspiration behind me starting running for the first time in Oct 2022 and running the London Marathon in April 2023 at age 56!

Q&As

1. Find out what motivates you and where you're at right now.
2. Set some targets and a plan for achieving them
3. Make the progress impossible to ignore.
Success>motivation>implementation>success.

Fall in love with your sport. Dedicate yourself to improving and making friendships which support your pursuit of progress. The more your make decisions based on an identity of an athlete, the more you will love your body and what it can do.

I am living my dream life. I used to help 20-30 clients via 1-2-1 personal training. Now I help 250-300 clients thanks to my club and coaching programmes. I still love 1-2-1 coaching but limit the number of hours I do to those who are get the best out of me.

I like to do things my way. I love setting up systems and programmes which guide people to the results they want. I

Because I have worked so many people over the years, I know how to find your current ability quickly and ensure that progress is safe but obvious. Many trainers have a very warped perspective of just how unfit their clients are and push them too hard too soon.

Yes, if there's anything lockdowns showed me, it's that I can deliver very successful programmes online. We didn't stop running our Couch to 5k or online coaching programmes because so much of the guidance and support takes place online.

We offered Zoom PT and even Virtual Club runs through the pandemic. Most of my coaching is done online or outside so Covid is not much of a threat. The Gym is use is a PT studio so there are rarely more than 4 people using the large space.

Services

Based out of the Huddle PT Studio in Bishops Cleeve, Conor's PT and S & C sessions teach clients how to train more effectively in the time they dedicate to conditioning work.

Video analysis, running technique drills and running sets aimed at consolidating new technique cues make for the perfect technique coaching service.

If time is tight then Zoom PT sessions are a great option.

Learn the exercises via video and perform them alone or with coach supervision and technique correction.

These sessions provide all of the accountability and guidance in a fraction of the time.

If you struggle to get the experience you want from running then there's a good chance that your pacing is off.
Having a coach there to keep you at the right speed for your ability not only shows you how running should feel but provides a guide of how you can pace future runs.

Online coaching is more effective than ever with all communication and guidance provided via online platforms:
- online running programme
- WhatsApp messaging
- video calls
- video feedback on technique
- online conditioning plans you can follow at home or in a gym.
