When I think about photography, I think about the moments in time that I capture, and the effects they can have on other people. I started my own wedding photography business because I love weddings, and I love photography. I remember the first wedding I ever shot. It was my cousin's, and I shot with a borrowed digital camera, and I remember that I was really excited about getting the photos back from the lab, because I couldn't wait to see how they turned out. I really loved the experience—the whole day was so memorable—but the pictures were really terrible. (I can't even bear to look at them now!) I decided that if I was ever going to truly feel passionate about photography, I would have to get serious about getting better at it, so I enrolled in formal photography school.
