We visited for Sunday lunch late in the afternoon and even though it was extremely busy, the service was great.||||My husband had the soup to start which was delicious. ||I chose the Roast Pork, it was so tender.||There was also a good assortment of vegetables.||We had the Sticky Toffee pudding to follow which was lovely.||||Thoroughly recommend the Highworth friendly staff and good value for your money. A really nice stay at the Highworth hotel. Linda was very pleasant and accommodating. The rooms were large, clean and spacious. The cost for a night's stay wasn't too expensive either. The breakfast itself was very good too. Including a continental and a full English. Overall, I was really impressed with my stay. The slight recommendation is to mention about the wifi password in each room. As in my room, there was no obvious signage for wifi access and a password. More...

Not having a reception and carrying luggage into a busy bar wasn’t ideal after a long drive. The room was cold when I arrived with no heating on. The car park was behind the hotel and perhaps a warning of where it is and how narrow the entrance is would be helpful as I didn’t see signs arriving at night. One night away, for friends wedding taking place in wrag barn 5 min taxi journey, lovely room very comfortable stay would definately go back no downside, bath a little high when stepping out of but nicely decorated good taste all round very happy with our stay would definately recommend.

We were bought a voucher for afternoon tea and we went to this hotel for our treat. The hotel is a lovely old building situated on a cross roads. The entrance to the car park is easily missed as it is in the middle of the building an old coaching entrance very narrow and low. There is a nice garden which is a good suntrap. An impressive conservatory joins the buildings together at the back and is were you have your tea. Very nicely furnished modern and clean. The afternoon tea was very fresh and delicious. Had a gift of Afternoon tea for the Highworth and did not know what to expect as I've been to other places for the same thing, the Highworth beat those hands down. Everything was home made and was very tasty, sandwiches (fingers) were all general things anyone would eat, cakes and desserts were also very good and tasty.We were welcomed by a member of staff who showed us to our table, gave us unlimited tea and coffee.Overall experience was first class.Would highly recommend. We didn't stay in the hotel as we are local residents but four of us booked an evening meal. Each of us chose a different main course and all were faultless. The staff were polite and efficient and the restaurant manager checked several times that we were happy with our meal. Had a wonderful stay at the Highworth Hotel. The room was spacious and the bed was large and very comfortable. It was a hot day but the room had a fan and the window opened fully to let the breeze in. We had a superb dinner I had the calamari and my husband had the prawn and crayfish cocktail for starters, both were excellent. What a beautiful hotel! Staff were very friendly and accommodating - even when we arrived at 23:00! Our room was a junior suite - beautifully decorated, well furnished, very clean and an extremely comfortable bed! Breakfast was very good, we were a little late going down but were still offered a cooked breakfast, freshly made - which was worth it. ||Unfortunately we weren’t able to sample the great looking menu but I have no doubts it would have been good.||Love this hotel - wish it was on my doorstep.
