Damian is very polite and professional and undertook measured surveys to produce the drawings needed for both the Planning and Building Regulation applications. He dealt with several visits from the Planner, all to the Council's satisfaction. An added bonus was, following a trial hole adjacent to the neighbour’s shallow foundations, he explained the implications of the Party Wall Act and undertook all the Notices and surveys that were required to allow the works to proceed. The quality of his work is excellent, starting from the very beginning of planning my extension, to the building work which is of top quality. I would definitely recommend him to anyone else. More...

My dad was becoming frail & struggling to cope with a steep ramp from his front garden to the street.
Damian was very thorough in measuring all his specific needs, including rectifying the situation with a man hole that was in the way.
He produced drawings and a specification for a small alteration that created some shallow steps with a handrail.
The completed job looks amazing, extremely professional, & exactley what my dad needs. He is much happier using the steps & handrail, & I’m happier knowing it’s much safer for him!
I can’t recommend Damian highly enough for his work, & would highly recommend him for accessiblity improvements.

What do you love most about your job?
I love buildings and from the age of 4 always wanted to be a builder. Being a Building Surveyor and Project Manager allows me to be involved in lots of different types of project that I would be unable to if I was just doing it by myself. That said I also undertake building works and the photo of an extension in the gallery is the current progress on site of my first design and build project. I designed it and was the Party Wall Surveyor when we found the neighbours foundations were extraordinarily high and needed to submit notices under the Party Wall Act.

I am a Chartered Building Surveyor with experience in design as well as dilapidations, party walls, condition surveys, pre-acquisition condition surveys, feasibility studies, value engineering, specification and scheduling of works and building pathology.
I have almost 30 year's experience in the construction industry which provides a broad background of experience with specialist knowledge and experience acquired over a range of projects in both project and site management disciplines. I have worked in various sectors including: higher education, further education, statutory education, healthcare, industrial, food, retail, utilities and infrastructure, housing, leisure, PFI, local government, MoD and commercial.
As well as my initial degree, I have undertaken postgraduate studies including an MBA and have two professional qualifications. As such I am entitled to use the letters: MBA DipProjMan (RICS) BSc (Hons) FCIOB MRICS.
