What do you love most about your job?
My role brings together creativity with business development and I enjoy the combination of both.
I'm not interested in doing marketing for the sake of being seen to do it - all marketing activities should be functional and have a clear objective. So that's what I get a kick out of - making an impact. That could be writing an award entry that wins a client a big award, or it could be helping a client decide which logo is going to be right for their business or helping a client develop a new product and launching it to market.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I enjoy working small business owners and having supported two family members grow their businesses, I knew there were probably lots of businesses that needed 'a bit' of support. I wasn't cut out for working in a large company and I wanted a role where I had the freedom to work with people that I actually like, helping them to grow businesses that I could feel passionate about.
For many of my clients they simply don't require so much marketing that it warrants creating an internal post, but they do have a need for professional delivery of their marketing activities, or they simply want to draw on the experience and advice that I can provide. So that's what I do - work with people I like, supporting them to make their business or organisation function or communicate better.
Why should our clients choose you?
They shouldn't unless they speak to me first. Most of my clients find me via referrals or recommendations and generally I would advise any business to choose business services based on the recommendation of someone they trust. However, if recommendation is not available to you then then best approach is to talk to various people to see who you get on with and who, instinctively, you feel you can trust.
I’m happy to chat through the services you need and to explore whether I’m the right person to help your business or organisation. If for whatever reason your project isn’t well suited to my services, then I can hopefully signpost you to a contractor who might be able to help.
