Excellent service, I and my wife were recommended to go to Mrs. Patience Adamson. She made getting our profit stress free and made what we thought would be impossible, possible! ! Mrs. Patience Adamson was truly amazing and gave us so much further advice- she went above and beyond and now we’re making our second withdrawal! An Afternoon Tea to celebrate our branch of the NHS Retirement Fellowship’s 10th Birthday & celebrating the 74th Birthday of the NHS. Hintlesham Hall was the most perfect setting for our wedding in September 2021. Tracy our Wedding Planner was attentive, professional, organised and an absolute delight, she really was the best, as are all the staff that helped in any way to make our perfect day go so smoothly and without a hitch! They work as an amazing team. We had exclusive use of the hotel so that all our guests could stay in the 34 unique and beautiful rooms.The honeymoon suite was fabulous, a beautiful and extensive suite with a separate huge lounge, a real treat. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The food was exquisite, the service was excellent and all the staff couldn't have done more to have made our wedding and stay more perfect. We've also experienced the afternoon teas and the Christmas Party at the hotel which are a definite winner! The grounds are beautiful with plenty of parking. Once again I have had a brilliant stay at this beautiful picturesque hotel. My room was more like a small suite, suited my every need, as I use a stick. It was on the ground floor and everything suited for someone with restricted mobility. The walk in shower was massive. I cannot praise this hotel enough, the staff are so friendly and helpful. I stayed recently to celebrate a wedding anniversary with friends and had a lovely large room, most comfortable bed with fine linen, a large bathroom with walk in shower and good necessities provided.We dined in the restaraunt and the fine dining menu was first class as was the food.I had a delicious artichoke soup with truffle oil followed by delightful pollock with accoutrements and then a magnificent rhubarb soufflé.Good unhurried service. I’m told by my fellow guests the wine list was excellent.I have two negative points to make: whilst the food was good the breakfast service was slow. It took all of twenty minutes for me to get a cup of tea, And then only because I knew the name of one of the servers and was thus able to gain his attention.My second point is a little more problematic given the age of the property.I use a wheel chair and the website says the hotel is easily accessible for wheelchairs, this is, sadly, not the case. Gravel drives make progress outside the hotel fraught with difficulty and once inside there are a number of steps. Impossible to access the reception and difficult to get to the restaraunt. Luckily I am able to walk short distances and even manage short flights of stairs, but it causes me considerable pain and distress.I am aware of how difficult it is to adapt buildings such as this but it could be possible to add a permanent gentle ramp to the door to reception and simple ramps where one step impedes progress internally.I end with complimenting the staff who were helpful in the extreme and most solicitous for my welfare.I mention in particular: Rose, Luca (forgive the spelling if inaccurate) the restaraunt Manager and Wes.MS More...
