Our stay at the hotel was absolutely wonderful and the only downside was the unpleasant behaviour of some guests towards the staff at breakfast. We were glad to see that the hotel manager would not tolerate such behaviour towards her staff. The room was large and clean, and hotel is very conveniently situated near the sea and the theatre. I stayed at The Berkeley last weekend, and safe to say I may have found the best guesthouse in Eastbourne. Room was comfortable, quiet, and immaculately clean, the staff gave me a warm welcome - made to feel right at home! Located close to the sea and not too far from town, I was directed to lovely Italian and Thai restaurants around the corner. Breakfast was brilliant, just the right amount of food, nothing was too much effort for the waiting staff (one young man, and a lovely older lady). The only negative was a guest who disrupted the atmosphere, but they were asked to leave promptly by the manager. Overall, a wonderful short break, I will definitely be back! More...

Purtroppo essendo una struttura vecchia ha ancora la moquette nelle camere ma per il resto era molto pulita e senza ascensore. The e caffè e acqua in camera compresa nel prezzo. Colazione compresa molto Buona, curata e abbondante. Possibile anche ordinare un inglish breakfast completo cotto al momento. The general manager was so helpful as we had been let down by our original booking. A beautiful twin bedded room, comfortable, lovely and clean. Great touches of fresh bottled water each day, biscuits and mints.||Fantastic location, two minutes from the seafront and theatres. The landlady is a wonderful and warm lady, very welcoming and friendly,, the Berkeley is a very clean and nice bed and breakfast, and the breakfast is the best i have had for a long time, should have a 5* for a BnB, i would highly recomend.

Stayed here for one night, on arriving we were welcomed by the owner, she seemed very nice until u had signed the booking confirmation then she asked for payment! Having already paid through booking and having proof it had left my bank account ( I had to show this to her) she finally agreed that Booking.com had not sent her the money. This whole episode took another 5 mins and made us feel quite uneasy. Having said that the room was large, bed comfy, although the pillows could have been softer, and free toiletries and fluffy soft towels were available along with the usual tea and coffee. Breakfast was good, although by 9.15 they had run out of fruit and yoghurt, breakfast is only from 8.30-9.30 so you need to be down early , we got there at 9.10! The food is freshly cooked and although my poached egg could have had a runnier yolk it wasn't too bad. Plenty of toast but tea and coffee are not refilled, I don't think they like anyone lingering over breakfast! All in all a pleasant stay but check with your booking agent to ensure monies have been paid before you check in! More...

The room had high ceilings and was very elegantly decorated in a classy style. The whole hotel is located in the Victorian row house lovingly renovated. Beautiful Joy和她的兒子Russell是很棒的主人！這家賓館絕對一塵不染，早餐有各種各樣的選擇，我們被寵壞了選擇！房間很舒適，非常安靜。其餘的輔助人員非常友好和樂於助人。我整個星期都睡得像個頂級！停車非常方便，每晚1次，我們可以毫不費力地將車停在附近。絕對是我住過的最好的賓館。不能高度讚揚它！ ！

Welcome from time of arrival. The Berkeley guest house is A very efficiently run guest house. Well deserving of its stars ****rating. Prime location minutes for all you can hope for on a picturesque pebbles beachfront, cafes catering for all taste, brilliant Eastbourne Tribute nights are highly recommended, The theatre opposite The Berkeley, train station and various buss to go further are all very accessible.
