How long have you been in business?
I have been involved in trades for much of my life, working initially for my father before moving to the UK. I have worked on many large and complex projects including the London Bridge rail transformation but found that smaller projects allow me to focus more on getting to know my clients and really understand what it is they want to achieve. Ultimately, I can deliver better quality because I can dedicate the time to working closely with clients. I've been doing this for over 15 years - formerly as a sole trader until I wanted to establish my own little company. Born from this was Crest Worth.
What guarantee does your work come with?
I always stipulate that we will provide minor alternations/changes as required by the client inclusive in initial costings. If any major problems arise I endeavour to address these and have multiple insurance policies in place to ensure my clients are never left to foot enormous bills.
What do you love most about your job?
The excitement of working with people from all walks of life, understanding their home or business ambitions and helping to bring these to life. It's so rewarding to be a part of projects that transform someone's space. It's a real sense of accomplishment when projects are signed off and my clients get to benefit from what I love doing.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Having worked in the private sector for a number of large organisations, it irritated me that clients were never the priority, only doing things quickly and at minimal cost. It made little sense when the true magic is in the craftsmanship. Couple quality with great value and meaningful contractor-client relationships, and it makes for a happy working life.
